So Summer
It’s just a thing of personal preference but I can’t really do a churidaar/salwar without a dupatta unless it has a very structured construction (think Rathore or Rajesh Pratap Singh or one of those straight-falling bandhgalas paired with churidaars!)… Having said that, I do think Konkana looks lovely in her outfit. It is summery, casual and works well on her!

OMG OMG I have that top! Koko copied me *beams*
(j/k about the copying part)
A nice, light dupatta would’ve kicked it up a notch!! (or several notches)!!!
i LOVE the churidaar kurta outfit Konkana is wearing..i don’t always wear duppata’s with my shalwar kameezes and i think in this case, i really don’t think it makes much of a difference…
Agree with KK
agreed! without dupatta, it’s nice but something feels definetely amiss
whose the guy in the background? hes cute! whatever i can see of him. and yeah the outfits okay-very summery!
OMG i love it – but then i love anytrhing on her!
@Ritu – where did you buy this from?
I think she looks fabulous… I love the kurta. It’s so summery and casual, and she carries it off effortlessly…
i want it !!!!! from where? LOVE IT !
I like Salwar Kameezes without dupattas. They’re easier to manage. She looks nice.
i am somehow never a fan of her dressing sense …… n this one is making me YAWWNN
I also think a dupatto would have looked nice, but she pulls this of amazingly too ! (I think she looks great all the time, anyways)
those glasses look Prada… please confirm
ooohhh…I love that simple churidar..Its so pretty and summery (even minus the dupatta) :)
I also LOVE Konkana. What an amazing actress!
Not really digging the glasses, though! A lil too big.
is dat a biba..???
Sorryy.. whats so great about this outfit? in delhi, you find these outfits a dime a dozen in every office where there are working women! plus, the oversized goggs look like she borrowed her friends!
on the contray i think loose flowy ones dont need dupattas
Yeah…this isn;t the kind of chiridar kurta that goes well without a dupatta. She looks nice…but must do something with the hair.
she looks like anu deewan in the last pic
I SWEAR!
@jaishree:
thats jimmy shergill in the background
Where can I buy Kolhapuri chappals online? The ones as seen on Konkana.
love love love!!! totally adorable and elegant!
I love. Sweet and simple. So Konkona:)
Yayy for salwar kameez:P
I like this nice casual look…and its such a flowing simple kurt that a dupata would ahve totally spoilt the silhouette. I also guess that its too hot to hve anyting around your neck as of now.
maybe its also a practical thing. Most of my suits for office don’t have a dupatta
pretty normal salwar – its the attitude n the personality that makes the difference, n koko certainly has spades of it! i wear my churidars n kurtis ( the ones that hit above the knee )without the dupatta much less fussy that way
an ordinary-looking woman in an ordinary outfit. nothing worth mention.
thanks preets! I am not crazy abt Jimmy-but that angle was good.
