ITA! What I especially love about Kangana is how comfortable she is in sarees. Draping, styling – so at ease. So much so that there is not even a stylist involved in most of her off-duty looks. She is goals!!!

Yes, what we wear is a matter of personal choice. What may not look practical to u, is practical for Thousands of women traveling wearing a sari day in n out with ease, effortlessness and comfort, that too in jam packed buses and trains. And kangana was in the most comfortable chair an airline can offer. So is this practical? 100%

She’s a big star.. definitely headed to some good places or events where she must be invited. I don’t think she’s going home so dressed… always.
I am curious what the awesome readers feel about being ‘styled’. Signature style has been the essence of style icons. Aparna Sen, Sharmila Tagore, Waheeda to Jackie Kennedy, Michelle Obama….you name it. Kangana has a signature saree style. Her blouse is always kinda same, minimum jwelelry, she plays around with her shades, loves the color white or pastels and mostly carries a bag of that exact style… or even the same one. So yes she is ‘styled’ in her signature style. Are we all not styled in our own signature way ?
Agree that everyone is somewhat styled. And you cannot escape your era so most of us dress in prevailing styles. Especially celebrities. Think it is the over styling, the sameness and the lack of personality as a result that is jarring. Kangana has personality in spades. But is a little try hard. Nowadays celebs try and look casual while being dressed in some settings like airports. So being Sharmila in a saree in a plane in 60s is different from same look now even if you are trying to be different. My 2 paisa.
Maybe it’s me but I find Maheshwari borders too wide and the gold very harsh.
I recently picked up rehwaa saree …they are so affordable and beautiful…..and I love Kangna for wearing a rehwa..and promoting handlooms …and not those glamourized overpriced frilly designer saree
Something is off….Saree is nice but pretty ordinary….these glares don’t go with this classic look at all…bag is not going with the entire ensemble too….nothing seems connected….it looks like she’s trying….nothing works like how effortless works.
Her casual,nl non chalant, “simple” looks are heavily styled. That said appreciate her for picking up handlooms over the MMs and AJSKs and such stupid bling. Could be a very careful and calculated move to stand out amidst her peers etc, but any day I prefer her over curated handloom saree look over the MMs and “experiment” sarees and sarees with a twist.
