In Sanjay Garg
Wearing a gorgeous Sanjay Garg lehenga, Kangana attended a Diwali do last evening. Am not sure what the backstory is (if there is one), but Kangana’s styling does great disservice to the lehenga. Between the bare make-up, severe hair, Dior bag, draping of dupatta and those flats, what chance did this look have? A major let-down from the actor.
Though we don’t have great pictures of Neha, from the peek we did get, can see that she too picked Sanjay Garg for the festivities. Will update with better images if we find some.

Actually, I like Kangana’s look. It’s different, but it’s not bad. And I love that shade of electric blue. Neha also looks lovely!
Love the lehenga hate the styling . And I usually love Kangana!
im so glad somebody wore these gorgeous lehengas.. yeah, neha looks amazing!!
I am loving Kangana’s look …it soooo DIFFERENT…I am getting an “ISKCON”-ish (how foreigners wear Indian clothes)vibe…love…..
and Neha needs a dupatta.
I know what you mean by the Iskconish vibe. But i think thats precisely what is bugging me a bit. She looks like an Indian trying to look like a firang trying to look Indian… if that makes any sense. The drape of the dupatta and the footwear seems very forced anti-glam.
But, barring the second pic, I think here face looks precious, major love there. Also lehenga is a colour to die for
I totally agree with you.. for all those ISKONish vibe comments here.. let me clarify this is not a costume party.. where one needs to dress up pretending to be a firang etc..
this is not doing the beautiful lehenga any justice.. the draping of the dupatta is dowdy and so is wearing the lehenga above your ankle.. this is just plain WEIRD
Agree. This is not the right event for such a look.

Actually I quite dig Kangnas look
Love Neha’s look! Kangana looks quirky and stands out in a good way.
I’m liking kangana’s look. She stands out. Only the bag needs to go away
Love Kangana’s lehenga. She’s put a great ‘western’ spin to the whole look. Neha looks pretty good too.
Kangana has a tendency to use all occasions that demand her attendance to project a ‘ Fashion forward IMAGE’ of herself. While this works at times such as at promotions or red carpet events, occasionally I wish she would just be herself. A young girl invited to a party who enjoys dressing up…
I love love and love Kangana’s look! i am a style blogger and with whatever lil’ i understand, am done with chandbalis – the mere site of it makes me cringe! So, this look is so diff. from everyone and speaks of a personality / individualistic style. Love the styling:-) Flats wow- break from the gold/silver heels…yawn!!! if there is any styling done- its in her look and everyone else is wearing an outfit from some designer- wht kinda styling is tht? u get it- buy.
Minus the bag, I actually like this.
I am loving Kangana’s look. She’s gorgeous.
She reminds me mof bandana tewari..
I kindof like it
My first reaction to Kanganas look was “why?”
But on second and third glance it’s growing on me
I’d imagine there’s no back story and that this look as a whole was very deliberate
Because for her it’s not just about Wearing an outfit…she always commits to a “look”
And while it may not always be gorgeous in the conventional sense, she deserves credit for that
Neha looks lovely as usual
These lehengas are just festive. I want one!
just my words.
Quite like Kangana’s look actually… I think she looks great…
I like Kangana’s look, she’s styled it in her own quirky way, but I don’t think the Dior bag belongs here. Neha looks gorgeous!
I think Kangana is channelling Frida Kahlo with this look! Love it!
ADORE kangana here.
what a satire of simplicity.
the understated look makes a loud impact.
so vogue.
sonam should take some tips from Kangana.
+1!!!
Though I love Kangana, this is a major downer…why so ‘dukhiyari’ on a festive occasion? Boring drape of the dupatta, no hint of colour on face..there is probably no need to bring all the bling out, but no point in being so boring either….
Kangana looks a bit older. Shades of Mita Vashish. Also agree with above comment on Kahlo. Whatever this is effortless. She is fab, fab, fab. Disappointed that a fashion blog cannot see this.
Feel the same way.

Where where where are these lehengas available? In Raw Mango Stores?
Neha’s makeup is flawless !! Love it.
The best part about this post is, all the above comments. So many ladies appreciate such a beautiful look. I feel home!
A definite statement. Not having to shout and still be heard loud and clear.. Absolute conference in her being, is what Kangana projects. Love! Maybe just maybe a slightly better chappal or juttis would take it up a notch..
I wouldn’t go to any designer store for those lehengas – they look like pattu pavadais worn with short modern blouses. Can easily pick these kind of pavadais up anywhere in Chennai.
Agree with Shreya.
Now this is a look I absolutely LOVE. Its got a completely Kangana spin to it, something only she can do. The only back story to this is an ISCKON inspiration. Again, LOVE.
I actually like Kangana’s styling…..gives me a Payal Khandwala-ish vibe which totally suits her. The only sore thumb for me is the Dior bag.
I’d beg to differ. I think Kangana is creating a statement with her look, the lehenga central to it. In a sea of conventional festive makeup and styling, she’s a visual treat.
I just love kangana, such a fashion icon. So individualistic. She stands out in a good way. More power to her. p&p how did you miss the uniqueness of this look. This should be right up your alley.
Such a refreshing sight compared to all the gaudy material and heavy make up. Even though it looks a little too minimal I’ll take this over Sonam’s Christmas tree look.
luv u babe….so different, so cool…kangana u rock
She looks like a jain sadhvi if one ignores the colour obviously. But she looks great! I have no problem with the draping of the dupatta. But that bag does not belong! Also a tad more make up would have been great! Love the fact that she wore flats. Initial thought was that they could have been more festive, but the more I look at the pics, the more they are growing on me.
I think it’s Kangana’s darker hair that is throwing me off. She looks so different!
I get what look she is going for bit I think this was not the right event. She could have gone the “proper” Indian route with jhumkas, bindi, jasmine flowers, dhavani style drape. Its a festive event. Utilize the event and lehenga to its full potential.
I loved Sanjay Garg’s collection and want some of the pieces myself. So it’s lovely to see people wear them. Kangana looks good, no matter how simple her make-up or her dupatta drape. So what if it’s an Indian outfit? One can wear it anyway one pleases and in my opinion it makes it work.
