THANK YOU for pointing this out! I would add Zuhair Murad to your lovely list! Dont get me wrong – I love Indian fashion, but the new set of Indian designers, especially the ones seen at Wills Lifestyle this year, are such a let down to couture fashion! I thought we only copied movies and story lines (Hollywood, Japanese, Korean) and it appears this trend has followed onto fashion! I hope and pray that our fashion blogger point this out in their features!!! We should NOT settle for mediocre, when we know we can churn out fabulous!!!!
Zuhair Murad is the first designer that came mind when looking at
This collection. The middle row looks like his famous “fallen angel” gold/ivory feather wings dress s/s13. Designers have no shame! Reminds me of high school when a boy presented a Walt Whitman poem
and tried to pass it as his own in Lit class. SMh
Love the first and the second in the last row.
Seriously ??
Gold Work is so Gucci + Stephane Rolland + Trashy Ideas+COPY+PASTE=Samant Chauhan
I got an instant Alexander McQueen / Givenchy vibe! haha
The 2nd row seems to be inspired by Shantanu and Nikhil’s latest collection!

and dont forget – Monique Lhullier!
Its offensive to underestimate how aware we are as fashion enthusiasts of whats going on around the world.
But most importantly, how is this not offensive to a designer himself? Shame!
