Sari Style

Sure we’ve seen these lovely ladies don a sari before but specifically this look certainly was a first. We tried really hard to like ’em but… It’s a Not Quite for us.

Both their blouses seem to overwhelm them. However, if we had to pick, we’d choose by a wee bit margin Sonali who manages to still somehow make it work somewhat.

P.S: Sonali is in Abu Sandeep and Dia in Anamika Khanna.

  1. Really? Pick Sonali over Diya? At least the latter’s ensemble is not blinding. The only gripe I’d have against Diya would be that the look is too sedate for an important occasion.

    • I agree.
I love how simple and beautiful Diya looks in the saree. It would befit maybe a charity show or something but not an awards function.
I can’t believe you are giving her a not quite based on her blouse. It can be a not quite based on whether it was appropriate for the function or not.

  2. on the contrary, I think they both look good here. i would rate Diya a tad bit higher coz I LOVE her sari and jewelry. Sonali did a better job with the draping though.

  3. My two favourite heroines from Bollywood. Both gorgeous women, looking gorgeous in these sarees. Wish Sonali had covered her right bossom. Otherwise perfect.

  4. Love Sonali’s look, like her blouse as well.. do not like her hair colour. In Dia’s case, she needed better footwear.. I do not like those sleeves

  5. Dnt like Sonali’s sari much and very underwhelmed by Dia. Even though she looks pretty, this doesn’t befit the glamorous filmfare awards

  6. Dia rocks the look…love her choice of footwear. true she looks more like a politician…are you sure it is not in character to one of her upcoming movies? Sonali is all bling…garrish saree by Abu Sandeep.

  7. Sonali’s blouse is too blingy but I love the cut. Love Diya’s too. Isn’t this what sarees and blouses are meant to look like?
