Yes, I do. She is appropriately dressed for a book launch. A little too grey and black, but she pulls it off.
I love!!
mhhhh….somehow 50 50
I love the sari – why doesn’t one see more saris like this on ladies from the entertainment business? They’re classy and have an elegant sex appeal.
I like a little colour. But this is Nadita Das…she is doing what she does.
I love it! Amazing how a simple saree can look so elegant and classy and sexy too
now this is the way to do a sari !
She’s dressed for the event. Nothing over the top. I like it!
does anyone know which book is being launched here? nandita looks timeless, elegant and beautiful.
she looks nice.. but the purse is outdated. 80s style…
I’ve always loved nandita’s eye make up… it makes her look so sexy and elegant at the same time,
Love the sari.. Perfect for the occasion, its nice the way she kept the accesories minimal… It goes with the sari really good…
Could you please tell what type of sari she is wearing – also could you also give more details of similar ethinic type of saris – fabricwise and whet-to-buy – am no good at draping a sari – but I love what she is wearing – so looking for something in cotton or light silk easy to wear … thanks.
i think she looks fantastic: elegant and understated!
@ hhc
i guess thisis a cotton/kora saree.. u can find them at fabindia, tey have some really amazing saree and suits..
i love nandita.. i think she’s beautiful..
nope.. a lil dull for me
she looks goos. but wish she was carrying a muted red bag or wearing a big red bindi — would have made it pop
I like her understated elegance, and am loving the jewelry!!!
Gorgeous sari and very nice makeup. For once someone is dressed appropriately for the event!
i lovee it
@ anokhi,
The book’s name is Weed…not sure of the author.
love it..the saree, blouse, earrings, necklace and her eyes and hairstyle. She looks so….comfortable in that outfit
Beautiful!!! That sense of style is simple, classic and in touch with the economy.
I like it, very appropriate but some lipstick would have been nice
Lovely!
Love it!!
Really love this style. Classic, simple and elegant. Very difficult for Nandita to go wrong.
she dresses refreshingly different from all the bollywood women. In the pic she’s looking like a smart young professor.
She’s quite something, isn’t she? I love Nandita, and she mostly wears clothes that she’s comfortable in and that look good on her. (Minus those trousers she wore one time…eek).
at least she is not looking like a real life version of Manjula here (Apu’s wife in Simpsons)
amazing how she makes such a simple (and actually really dull sari) glow with her
top marks!!!
@Ngm82 – thanks a lot. I usually shop at Fabindia when I visit India but its usually such a rushed shopping that I never realised that they had sarees.
Can anyone else give me more suggestions on where I can find elegant/ethinic cotton/silk sarees – easy and light to wear – in Bombay.
If I knew her, I would SO ask her out. Yeah.
One woman who is a effortless beauty all the time.. even in the WTHeyyy moments !! Is this a saree from Fabindia?
Love it! I love the grey saree!
Nandita Das is one gorgeous woman who is almost 40 but looks 20 ish!!! I like her style of dressing.
@ Jayanti = cant believe she is turning 40, look at those arms….soooo 20ish….
though i do feel dat jus becoz she works in art movies, doesnt mean she always has to dress etnic n stuff…wish she wuld move beyond indian clothes n do some classic western…wish wish wish
she definitely 100% needed makeup, and look at the lips she should try some other shade.
my mom has a sari similar to this
well she looks like a lady
* she here meant for nandita das
i must say that i remember seeing her a few times before
she really is sensible when it comes to choosing outfits(it suits her looks) unlike sonali kulkarni , who i do not know why chooses hideous “costumes”
