WLIFW Spring 2013: Nida Mahmood

Known best for her quirky prints and kitschy aesthetic, Nida’s latest collection checked all those boxes. Amidst the kaftans, saris, separates and dresses, it was the embroidered rooster print cropped pants that stood out. Cute!

Wearing Her Own

Wearing a design from her Spring 2011 collection was Nida at the Lap Buddh bash. I loved this collection but have to admit this gown was one of my least favorites. I would’ve loved to see her in the sari/denim look!

Sho(w)(p)lay

Designer Nida Mahmood Autumn/Winter 2009 collection was an ode to Bollywood featuring prints on bags, jackets, blazers. She herself was spotted with the Basanti bag at Olive Delhi coupled with a scarf from the same collection and in Mumbai, restauranteur AD Singh was spotted at LFW wearing the Gabbar blazer.

How do you like your kitsch? In small doses like the bag or bigger a la the blazer?
