Masaba: LFW Summer/Resort 2011

Masaba’s strength lies in her ability to pair dramatic and strong contrasting colors together and making ’em work. She also has this knack for picking out a print that sticks. In this collection it was the ‘foot-impression’which she did use really well. We loved the use of polka dots and the animal print draped jumpsuit was one of our favorites pieces from the collection.

As fun and youthful as this collection was, and now that Masaba’s found her groove, we do think now she ought to perhaps pour in tad more thought into the finish of these products.

Supporting her friend (and designer), Soniya was spotted at Masaba’s show wearing the same hand-print dress that we’ve also seen Mandira and the designer herself wear.

Soniya added a youthful twist to the dress by pairing it with a fringe necklace, one of her headbands and ankle wedges. There’s a lot going on but Ms. Mehra wears it well.

Mugdha took in Masaba’s show at LFW wearing the same dress that we’ve previously seem on the designer herself. I loved this Masaba dress on Mughda, the hot pink really agrees with her! Like the designer, she too accessorized with a multi-strand chain necklace. And footwear issues aside, I think Ms. Godse looked pretty darn great!

Spotted Shaheen sport a Masaba outfit recently, one that the designer herself had sported a few months ago. On whom do you like it better? We think both ladies wear it well and, look good.

One In Every Color?

We loved the pairing of fuschia with the nude pumps, as well as, tan with the orange pumps… But, while she looks good, we are surprised to see Masaba sport the same dress in two different colors. Understandable if it’s her own design, but still surprised. ;)
