  1. Love the splatter and the phonebooth prints, as well as the neon pops, but I just can’t get on board with that lipstick print.. Comes off really tacky..

    • Exactly my thought! :)
I usually don’t like Satya Paul prints and Masaba’s designs are kinda hot or miss…so I wasn’t sure what their baby would look like!!

  3. I’d wear that black-white-neon green saree in a heartbeat. Like the splatter prints, don’t mind the lipstick prints either. Good stuff.

  4. It’s like a trend these days. Take any mundane object, make a print out of it, and suddenly you are the hottest designer! Unimpressed.

    • i would totally agree to @tiv , its probably the PR machinery thats working overtime for such designers.. but what i wonder is how would a brand like satyapaul pick up such a nascant designer as their creative head ?

    • well said and true but then others should have done it too right ..it so happens that Masaba could think out of the box and do it first…so prop to her for that…you could be talented in diff ways!

    • Totally agree!!
This is not design!! There is no fabric play, no print re-invention.
There could’ve been some innovation in the lipstick print too, but all she did is take it as it is & splatter it on the fabrics.
And the paint splatter print just makes me laugh!
If this is what our popular designers are doling out, then there is a serious cause for concern.
And people please stop encouraging these ridiculous designs just because they are from well known designers!!!

  5. After getting a sneak peek at the lipstick print on sonar, I really expected the collection to knock my socks off. This is a bit of a let down and Satya Paul badly needs an uplift. Sigh-ness!

  6. Love the splatter print. That saree with that sequinned blouse is pretty neat.
It was such a hyped appointment, I feel bad that I’m not too impressed. Unable to get on board with that lipstick print.

  7. Satya Paul sarees have such a lovely flowy movement when you wear them; so he/Masaba have stayed true to the concept. This collection did not excite me but there are some great prints I guess, splatter, phonebooth especially
