It’s been a while since we had Waheeda on these pages and boy, was she a sight for sore eyes! Le sigh.

What sorcery is this! How can someone look so good… The saree, the elegance, the styling. Sigh.
This is perfection! How beautiful, elegant, classy is she!
Always, always amongst the best dressed or the best dressed. How does she always get it right? Pure love,??
Sight for sore eyes!
Please be a bit more respectful- if you could address her as Waheedaji or use her full name.
Considering we don’t add it for any other senior actors while writing here, I don’t see why I need to for her. It doesn’t mean if I speak to her personally, I won’t address her that way. (That is if I ever have the good fortune to be able to meet her…)
Have a look at your post on Shaban Azmi- you’ve referred to her as Ms Azmi and not Shabana. Which is the right thing to do. And Waheeda Rehman belongs to an even earlier generation, so first name basis is definitely inappropriate here.
True, Ms Rehman would have been fine.
But thank you for the post, she looks elegant and what a beautiful saree.
Just cause you do a wrong , doesn’t mean you need to continue during that . It’s a basic courtesy to address anyone of her league with some respect
Always graceful, with a beautiful smile and a dignity that begets respect. I’m loving this reception – we got to see so many whom we don’t get to see very often. Just for that, thank you to Ranveer and Deepika for inviting them :-)
This is how you attend someone else’s wedding.
Payal, would have been nice to see this alongside the other saree pics of Shabana, Hema Malini and Rekha. Even though Waheeda Rehman deserves to be featured on her own, the contrast to those other ladies would have been interesting. Especially Rekha.
We are not worthy !! She is so beautiful and graceful. That saree is gorgeous!
No designer labels in sight – this is how you do elegance, people. Old was always gold.
+1
True, this is how you attend other’s reception. She is slaying it. She looks adorable.
Timeless elegance ! What a sight for sore eyes she is.
I am smiling just looking at the pictures! Imagine if I actually get to see this in real!
When you are featuring Waheeda Rahman ji, Aishwarya, Vidya Balan you are not addressing them as “South Indian celebrity” right. But addressing that way on Samantha’s post was really odd and unnecessary. It was like differentiating them based on their ethnicity and region.
What a timeless beauty and timeless elegance she is.
Kaash yeh hum dekhpathe aaj kal.
She looks dignified and graceful like she always is.
maybe because the other ladies are regularly featured outside south India.. they don’t get tagged as such, whereas Samantha does primarily feature only in South Indian magazines. just a thought
I am from South India and I don’t see any differentiation here. Infact I think that’s more informative to those readers who don’t know many new age South actors. Introducing the actors that way only makes sense, nothing derogatory
Wonder what type of saree this is.. Also, I love her bob.
Timeless beauty! Breathtaking !
Classy and graceful. Wonder whether any of the current crop will age this gracefully.
Timeless and classic
She just gets dressed, does makeup like us and knocks it out the park. Beauty truly comes from within
Uff, teri adaa.
She is slaying it.
Oh Goodness. Such classic elegance, timeless beauty and charm. Apart from her inner radiance all it took was a beautifully draped sareee, string of pearls and a radiating smile. How simple is that yet so many of us aspire for that vibe she generates. love .
Wow!! Such a palate cleanser. Graceful, Classy and timeless.
this is how you age gracefully!!
She looks much better and more elegant than any of the younger lot.
We need more of these classics. This just shows that old is definitely gold. She is grace personified.
Great post, thank you PnP. What type of sari is that? It is so dreamy and delicate.
Wow!
Wahida ji, I am swooning. Breathtakingly beautiful and graceful. Classy sari.
Everytime I see her I hear “Chaudhvin Ka Chand Ho” in my head.
