In Vikram Phadnis
Wearing a black Vikram Phadnis anarkali, Vidya attended the Power Brand Awards on Monday evening in Mumbai. Hair in a side-parted updo, her look was finished out with diamond studs from Mahesh Notandass and Zara pumps.
She sure looked nice and it was good to see her in a something other than a sari. Brought back memories of her at Sydney.
On an aside, am I the only one getting a very Sabyasachi vibe from this look? Just seems to be missing a small black bindi.

Did Vidya and Sabya have a fall out? She never wears any Sabyas anymore.
Ancient history. They’ve been katti since VB’s disastrous outing at Cannes
Is that gota at the hem of the kameez? The dupatta and gota seem out of place. She should have worn a gold tissue dupatta with the black kameez.
Bland and under confident, as usual. is wearing pumps with indian wear a new trend?
Wow. Didn’t know you could judge a woman’s confidence on a fashion website! There was this one time (on Rajeev Masand’s actresses roundtable) Sonam Kapoor said she wore fancy clothes as armour because of her insecurities. I think you should think before you talk about someone’s confidence (or lack thereof) – you never know what someone’s motivations are and how they choose to express themselves with their clothes.
Compare her pics here to that of a Kangana Ranaut, Aishwarya Rai or even Nandita Das – those women exude an air of being comfortable in their skin, irrespective of their clothes. So yes – i do think my comment was spot on. to each his own.
Oh wow …. she looked gorgeous …. loved that simple makeup on her
Nice, she looks slimmer !
I love the effort Vidya has been putting into her dressing recently! She’s clearly experimenting with new styles, haircuts, etc. Check out her insta posts – I wish you had featured some of the stuff she has put up there!
This is designer wear ? Awful
Don’t like the suit. But she looks lovely in her new hairstyle and make up. And finally a non – saree sighting!
The gota hem is a little too wide; a thin one would have been better; otherwise her stylist did a great job. Make-up and hair..perfect!
Looking at her insta posts, I can see she reused the suit with a different dupatta. A good change from the sarees she wore for Tumhari Sullu’s promotions
