In a jacket by Vivek Karunakaran for Viaa and a Tarun Tahiliani shirt, Vidya on the Feb cover is a far cry from the one we see in real life and I’ve got to say I love! You?

  3. She looks soo good! and I love the way she talks and carries her self..( it unfortunately it doesnt translate well in pictures)…she comes across a really smart stylish woman..if only she dressed up more in this way…than her usual frumpy manner…..

  4. aaaaawesome..she looks gorgeous, hip, well styled…the works!! wish she’d work this magic in all her real-life appearances…but for that she’ll need to drop a few pounds. that face could launch a fleet of ships…or whatever they used to say abt Helen of Troy ;-)

  5. She looks hot here!!! real hot…in a formal attire!!! She shows how u can look hot even while all covered up. She should definitely incorporate this style into her wardrobe. Probably this shoot will motivate and show her that she can do western in a way lot different than what she had tried to do some time back before she moved to her trusted sabya sarees and anarkalis.

    • Wow..I was checking all the Vidya posts.. and the last time she sported a western attire was in 2008. whew..she shouldn’t be giving up so easily… she is still young and though not the best of figures, should still be able to carry a western look with elan.

      • and I noticed that in every single of her appearance she has worn the wooden beads/bracelet. Is there any religious significance to it or maybe her favorite piece of jewelry?

  6. Well, the harsh angle’s not doing her any favours, but apart from that – double thumbs up! Vidya can definitely do classic elegance very well. Here’s hoping she incorporates a lot more of this fierceness in her daily styling as well!

  8. caption says it all…Vidya knows she’s sexy. See if she dressed like this all the time then this would just be a meh cover so I like that she keeps it simple and sticks to styles that she’s comfortable and does look good in (sari’s, anarkalis), yes it may be boring but she’s made it her own, just like Priyanka has dominated the short tight dress market and Ash the blazer/shirt/jeans combo.

  11. yay for vidya! she does look good! yes i agree that she can be a lot more adventurous with her styling and granted that this is a fashion blog but can we at least once in a while refer to the fact that this woman is one of the most self assured, articulate and intelligent actors we have today? yay for vidya again!

  12. Vidya has fabulous skin & eyes. She looks pretty in sarees but for a change is looking glammy and pretty on the cover of Verve. She looks very pretty for her age.
