Skipping the pants, Vidya wore the Anupamaa kurta as a dress. A messy side braid, coral strappy sandals and a stack of bangles finished out her look.
Unlike the last time, this look could’ve used a belt for some definition. But left as is, don’t really mind it. It has this easy, boho vibe which seems to be working for Vidya.
P.S: Who else can picture this look head-to-toe on Simone Singh? Just us?

So nice to see her in light, soft prints. Saris are classic, but it’s always good to see her changing it up.

Omg!! It’s looking like a night gown from some old woman’s closet!! And not wearing pants add to the horror the look is. She could have worn a hospital patients robe and looked better!!!

And you are right about the Simone Singh vibe, she always goes for shapeless/whimsical stuff and the side messy braid is something she wears often. Haven’t seen her on these pages, not that I missed her, her style somehow always lacks.

It seems to be a “in character” thing going on rather than any personal style.
Vidya, despite her protests that she isn’t into ‘fashion’ always seems to be struggling with it. I think if she could just relax, be very honest with herself vis a vis how she wants to present herself, her true style sense, something she could truly own, may emerge. Like Kiran Rao, Konkona Sen Sharma and others.

That looks like maternity wear as is .. I think it would look better with a pastel churidaar .. it looks kinda incomplete …

WTF is this?! we can now just walk around in a shalwar kameez minus pants?! what the heck is up with this trend of not needing pants anymore in the name of being stylish? anushka (the singer not the actor) recently forgot pants with her grey zip up “dress”. kareena forgot her petticoat under her sari recently when she went to lunch. and now this. listen to an older person, WEAR PANTS. nobody in their death beds ever says, “man i wish i wore less pants.”

Unpopular opinion, but I actually think she looks good in this. She’s dressed for the occasion (i.e. Sunday brunch with some girls) and she looks comfortable and cheery. I love the way her hair’s done and the barely-any-make-up look. I initially did feel that she had missed out on the pants, but after taking a look at the original outfit – the pants doesn’t do any more justice to that outfit! Vidya pulls it off better than that runway girl.
