At the music launch of ‘Aaha Kalyanam’ in Chennai, Vaani went the traditional route in an orange kanjeevaram paired with a brocade blouse. The look was quite a departure from what we’ve been seeing Vaani in recently but that isn’t to say she didn’t look nice.
Just wish the blouse wasn’t so low-cut and the belt had been skipped.

P.S. ‘Aaha Kalyanam’ is the Tamil remake of ‘Band Baaja Baarat’ in which Vaani plays Anushka’s character.

Agree, she looks lovely in the third pic, where the saree sits well on the blouse and the chain on her hip is covered!!
Hmmmm, she could have worn “real” kanjeevaram. The silk here looks like the lesser heavy, less authentic silk. And no, silver jewellery (belt) never suits kancheevaram sarees
Poor rendition of the “South Indian style.” She’s trying hard but the draping and the belt take away from the classiness.
Vaani looks lovely and love Kanjeevarams. But the contrasts of the colors across the sari and blouse dont mesh so well/do not have a standout appeal.
I love this look and i like the ottiyaanam. If i ignore the last picture with the boob show and low cut blouse, then its almost perfect.
i like it. except for the skin show.. the one boob show and the saree is tied dangerously low. all of this doesnt suit the kanjeevaram. makes it look trashy. but she looks gorgeous neck up.
I like the look! She looks lovely! I’d have worn a more fitted belt or skipped it all together..she looks very well put together.
Beautiful saree and blouse – looks so nice on her, and then she does a complete kill joy with that cheap tacky vulgar drape. Why oh why :(
