Ushoshi Sengupta was the winner of the I Am She contest and gets to be India’s representative the the upcoming Ms. Universe contest in August. What surprised us though was seeing the same Versace gown on her that we just saw on the cover of Vogue India on Jacqueline. Lucky gal!

Don’t know the specific but no for sure that Ushoshi is going to Ms. Universe.

i dont like the crown they’ve given her. such a mughal inspired design looks odd on a woman, since such designs were typically worn by men to adoren their head gear.
@Vanity Girl : The ‘I am She’ pageant is the new route of participating in the Miss Universe contest, from this year onwards. There was a bid organised by the Ms Universe Inc & Sushmita Sen won the franchise so she gets to decide on the selection procedure for the participants & the final winner.
However, I’m still not sure what happens to the Femina Miss India Universe who was crowned this year :P
@ Shivani…if you google n read the title…no one was crowned miss india universe…..the winner was crowned miss india world…..so miss universe title has been taken away from miss india organisers n given to “i am she” foundation….
Times group let go of the miss universe franchise which was picked up by Sush’s company,tantra sumtin…….now sush is(ir)responsible of choosing india’s rep. 4 miss universe…….
the franchisee has been bought by sushmita;s company tantra , so the winner goes to miss universe, whereas femina selected winners go to miss world,miss earth and miss international…quite a pity as femina winners this year are quite strong!
