Trisha In South Scope: Decoded

Comment image 37

Trisha makes her Bollywood debut tommorow opposite Akshay Kumar in ‘Khatta Meetha’. The south star who has featured in a lot of Tamil and Telugu movies was featured in South Scope magazine styled by designer Chaitanya Rao.

While, I love the pieces Chaitanya chose for Trisha, am so horribly disappointed to see the beautiful Anand Kabra sari paired with jeans (see inside). Don’t get me wrong, I love fusion, but this is sacrilege! (Ok ok, am overreacting, but the sari is just so purrrrty.)

Oddly enough, I also couldn’t help but remember Shilpa’s Cine Blitz cover on seeing the last pic of Trisha wearing the Chaitanya Rao ensemble (see inside).

  1. I absolutely hate it all. So heavily photoshopped. Why do they do that? To such a pretty girl no less? Doesn’t look like Trisha at all. She even looks like Ash in Anand Bhushan. And yes, that’s a beautiful saree ruined.

    • Another thing i dislike is how they whiten the skin tone. Trisha is a lovely wheatish-tan girl. If they aren’t happy with her perfect skin and gorgeous complexion, i don’t know what to say. She looks so plastic in the Anand Kabra. I think i’ll stop fuming and just never come back to this post again.

  2. I must say..the lady has really nice legs..and even though i don’t like what they have done with the sari..i do like it better than the model version..because of the color and coz it hides the weird design on the skirt part of the sari..and yaa..she does look a LOT like Ash in the black Anand Bhushan..

  3. Why do they photoshop the pics so much that its hard to recognize the person?!! Beats me..!! They are taking the obsession of perfection to new heights!! Trisha is nowhere close to the person they’v made out in these pics.. shes a pretty girl for sure.. but not like the one seen in those pics!

    • Totally agree..if they wanted to photoshop her to the extent of making her look like someone else..why not just get that someone else for the shoot.

      • Probably because that someone else is more expensive.

Sighz. I agree with you guys. She is a pretty girls and the photos here are pretty. But it certainly does not look like her.

Waste of Saree ! Agreed too !

So i also say, whats the point. Might as well get someone even cheaper and make her look like each one of the stars.

Whats bugs me most is also the whitening effect on the skin tone! Trisha has gorgeous wheatish skin. And who ever photoshopped did so until he couldnt anymore !

    • i agree. and in fact, most times, this seems to be why actresses who’ve been in the South for a long time, tend to look awkward in high fashion – Perhaps it is because they are too sweet-looking, which is usually the preferred look in South Indian movies. In any case, models rather than actresses tend to look best in fierce clothes.

  4. ok. ok … I maybe in minority or the the only one….but I like the fusion bit, it is a refreshing change to see in the sea of shortest skirts and blingy sarees.

  5. She looks awesome!! every other celebrity is potoshopped, y shudnt she use the benefits of it. She was called a ash look alike, when she enterd the film industry, so tht has nothin to do with photoshop.. She is a veryy pretty and smart girl, and is lookin stunnin in the pics above.. love the blouse of tht sari!

  6. am i the only one the picture with the photo frame looks awesome.
Some pics are nice, some are so-so. I think the first job while photoshopping is “add high cheek bones” even if it doesnt fit their face shape. In the first picture, the high cheek bones are out of place.

  7. i think the sari is a disaster. very bollywood.
i like how she looks in the black Anand Bhushan jacket. thats the only look worth commenting on. and the bikini is horrible.
and yes a lot of photoshop.
