In Payal Khandwala

Tillotama, who is in Zurich for her movie’s premiere at the film festival, picked Payal Khandwala separates for the big night. With her hair braided in to a faux-hawk, she rounded out the look with Tachi jewelry and pair of Oceedee sandals.

Not the best images, but from what I see, I do like! Ms.Shome worked her look.

  1. What a strange looking outfit ! On someone else it might have worked …. looked edgy …. but she’s not able to work it . Also the accessories are so blah

  2. I find the scarf disconcerting. It’s great that Payal Khandwala has seen tremendous success as a fashion designer, but there’s no denying that she heavily borrows and with her own admission, from Issey Miyake, besides Haider Ackermann and Wendell Rodricks. I love that she cuts on the grain and uses natural weaves, that her aesthetic rarely steers from long and lean with delicate layering or accessorsing, but it’s time to stretch that imagination a little and expand on design repertoire.

  3. I love the architectural elements. Tilottama carries it off, she has the required je ne sais quoi and elfin beauty. But the shoes should have been nondescript black boots.

  4. The second pic… she looks like she is possessed! Do certain outfits require people to NOT smile or have a pleasant expression…to bring out the edgy factor? Do the designers/stylists brief the wearer of the outfit to not smile at any cost? Don’t they know smile is the BEST accessory?
