Sari Style

It was a sari again (sorta!) for Ms. Bhalla on day four, this time a blue Play Clan one. Am a huge fan of the brand and love that they are launching saris but not quite digging the way Nandini wore hers, over a dress.

In House Of Holland

Spotted Ms. Mahtani in a fun houndstooth print House of Holland dress paired with pink Zanotti flats, a combo that wasn’t bad yet the whole look felt so meh.

On an aside, wish Nandita would stop wearing the Chanel chain belt with everything.

Ditto!

Sometimes it’s how you wear it that makes all the difference and proving the point was Nandini who was spotted wearing the same Nikhil Thampi velvet sari gown that we saw first on Evelyn.

Nandini wins this round hands down.

WLIFW Spring 2013: Taika By Poonam Bhagat

A Slice of Samarkand and A Bite of Bukhara was the theme of the collection presented by Poonam Bhagat under her label Taika. True to the theme, we saw Suzani embroidery presented in the form of dresses, vests and long robes with white, red and black being the predominant color scheme.

My favs from the collection, the jumpsuit and the vest.

WLIFW Spring 2013: Anand Kabra

Anand Kabra’s Taramati was a mix of Western and Indian wear in silhouettes that we’ve come to expect from the designer. What was different though were the patterns used; a mix of fragmented mosaic and doorway arches.
