On Tour

Blenders Pride Fashion Tour is upon us and at it’s preview press meet were designers and their muses/show-stoppers dressed in their creations.

Like last year, Malaika will once again walk for Mandira Wirk, no surprises there. Also not surprising was seeing Raveena for Ramona Narang considering we’ve seen Raveena wear IBella a few times before (see here and here).

The leggy muses sported their designers’ clothes for a photo-op at the Blenders Pride Fashion Tour.

Mugdha is in Gavin Miguel, Malaika in Surily Goel and Lisa in Wendell Rodricks. Can we take a moment though to talk about the Neeta Lulla outfit that is on Sushma Reddy? Oh. My. God. Which is crazier, the outfit or the boots? Or Sushma for agreeing to be seen in public in thaat? Oh. My. God. Again.

Remember this red number on Malaika? Turns out it was a Wendell Rodricks that was recently shown again at the IIFA Awards 2009 Fashion extravaganza. After seeing the Dolce and Gabbana Fall 2008 line with the wide silver belts, this one fails to impress.

LFW Autumn 2009: ‘Barbie’ All Dolled Up

Lakme Fashion Week started off with a show commemorating 50 years of Barbie. Several Indian designers had previously submitted their designs as to how they would dress the doll and the winning design would be then be worn by former model and now actress Katrina Kaif.

The show started off with Walushca Robinson in a pink Vikram Phadnis creation (already seen on Priyanka at the last LFW -see inside) and with models showcasing more outfits by various other designers. The winning design was Nishka Lulla’s, whose design was a tiered mini with a brocade bodice (as seen on Katrina). The best part of the show though was Waluscha’s daughter Chanel who while wearing a net gown designed by ‘The Shirt Company’ accompanied her mother on the ramp. So Awwwww.
