In Kiran Uttam Ghosh

Inspired by the drape style of women in East India, who tie their keys to the sari pallu and put it over their shoulder, designer Kiran Uttam Ghosh created this long kurta piece where the lengthened front goes over the shoulder. On the runway, the outfit doesn’t seem so bad although I doubt in real life anyone would pull it off and that is probably why Tisca chose to drape the extra length over her hand. Except, instead of it looking better, it just looked worse. Much worse. A ‘WTHeyyy’ if you ask us.

In Nikasha Tawadey

On day two of LFW, Tisca Chopra was spotted attending the Nikasha show in an outfit from the designer’s A/W collection. Although I love the dupatta, am not particularly liking the pairing with the salwar/kurta. I wish Ms. Chopra had worn the vest from the runway instead of the dupatta. What say you?

Pretty In Pink?

Before attending the premiere of “Gandhi, My Father” on day three, Tisca attended the opening night of the 7th Annual Indian Film Festival of LA in a pink sari that she paired with a silver-grey exotic clutch.

Although we aren’t a fan of see-through saris, have to admit she does look good! You like?

The ‘Batua’ Ladies

Nandita Das and Tisca Chopra made an appearance this past week in LA at the 7th Annual Indian Film Festival for the world premiere of “Gandhi, My Father”. Both ladies wore saris that they accessorized with gold batuas. Nandita wore a maroon silk while Tisca wore the same one from last year’s Filmfare Awards, this time with a different blouse.

We haven’t seen Tisca too many times in a sari, but even at the Firaaq premiere Tisca wore a contrast color blouse. Guess, we’ll have to wait for another appearance to see if that is her favorite thing to do! As for Nandita, we ( and you) loved her sari from the Firaaq premiere and after seeing that one, this one seems quite so so. Don’t you think?

You can catch them both at the Firaaq premiere here.
