At SIIMA, day one saw Amala in a melon Gauri and Nainika and day two in a blue Stella McCartney.
Wasn’t really feeling the jeweled floral belt that she wore with the Stella. The silver sandals also felt too heavy for the gown. Minor gripes cuz she looked really good waist up.

Priya Mani opted for Mahek Shetty designs on both nights giving us one look in a black gown and another in a vibrant sari. Of the two looks, the sari was the immediate pick as the better of the two.

Giving us another Gaurav Gupta sighting was Tamil actor Janani Iyer in a blue sari. You’ll remember seeing a coral version of it on Pia Trivedi here.
She looked nice but I find the clutch too big and distracting even though it’s a neutral color.

One to mostly do desi at award shows, Shriya surprised us by opting for this coral Gaurav Gupta gown. Another surprise was the decision to not overload this look with bling. She looked great!

In a Wendell Rodricks gown, Lakshmi attended day one of SIIMA being held in Sharjah this year. Am not feeling the gown but what I don’t like more about the look is the glitter headband. It makes her look like a kid playing dress-up and in this case that of a bride.
