In Raw Mango

Vidya was one of the very few to do a sari at the Filmfare Awards and boy, were we glad to see her in one. She donned a silk striped Raw Mango one with jewellery from Johri by Amaze and completed her look with a middle-parted updo complete with red roses.

While she looked sweet, part of me wished that she had worn her hair not middle-parted. It somehow ages her so much more.

At the screening of Dangal, Vidya was seen in a Natasha J suit with Amrapali beads and classic kolhapuris. Her wearing the hair untied may seem messy to some, but I didn’t mind it. The screening was a casual affair and the outfit matched the setting.

I liked it.

At the Stardust Awards on Monday, singer Neha Bhasin was seen in a Gaurang lehenga, one that she wore with jewellery from Jet Gems. Between the heavy makeup, the maang tikka and wearing the dupatta in hand, the overall look just felt a bit too costumey.

In Mint Blush

At two events recently for Kahaani 2 promotions, Vidya sported Mint Blush separates with jewellery from Amrapali that included statement necklaces. Unfortunately, between the two, I only found myself liking the orange look.

The longer necklace while lust worthy seemed the wrong pick for the short kurta and the dhoti pants. I can totally picture it with an all white long kurta sharara look though! (Oh hell, now I want the necklace and the outfit just to be able to wear it myself. :P)

Vidya visited the sets of the Kapil Sharma sets to promote Kahaani 2 doing desi in a Diva’ni suit paired with jewellery from EDesign and Aparajita Toor sandals.

By wearing her hair in the sleek side-parted ponytail, Ms. Balan helped balance out the look.
