Sari Style

For both these lovely ladies, it was a Masaba sari. Have a favorite?

Sari Style

Two beautiful women with two very different styles wore saris to their respective events. For Vidya, it was a Sabyasachi and for Kareena, a fresh off-the-runway Masaba which she paired with Amrapali jewelry.

Though Vidya stayed true to her designer-of-choice, Kareena changed it up by giving us an appearance in a non-MM sari. Quite the shocker! Can’t complain though, the actress looked absolutely gorgeous (even if the styling was reminiscent of a certain other Ms. Kapoor). Fab!

In Masaba

Pairing a Masaba sari with a halter-neck blouse and a Dior bag was Mandira on Day One of Lakme Fashion Week. As lovely as she looks, the bag is much too big and casual for the look.

We are not saying only a clutch works with a sari but generally when pairing big day-bags with saris, it helps to pick more structured ones.

In Twos

There were two Masaba sari sightings tonight in Mumbai. Question is, who do you prefer?

I am going with Zoa on this one. One, because we don’t like the stripes in Dipannita’s and two, because we don’t like the way she wore her pallu (yep, am a traditionalist!).

In Masaba

We’ve seen Mandira before in Masaba’s saris many times before, and so this recent appearance was no surprise. We thought she looked rather charming, just wish she had substituted her bag for a smaller one, if not ditch it altogether for a clutch.

Also in attendance wearing Masaba were Narmada and Jacqueline. Not really fond of Jacqueline’s look and of the two, my pick would have to be Narmada. The latter looked lovely!
