All Dolled Up

First it was the puppets and now, its the dolls!

The May issue of Grazia India in addition to featuring a gorgeous Shilpa on the cover also had several designers create miniature outfits to be worn by dolls…

While Miss India Parvathy wore this Lecoanet-Hemant gown as is, her successor Ekta Chaudhary accessorized it with a belt. The gown itself is just so blah, we didn’t think either was any good in it. Your thoughts?

Parvathy at Miss World 2008

Besides wearing the regular official designers for Miss India(Ranna and Lecoanet), ‘DL’ spotted Parvathy wearing one of Chaitanya Rao designs too. Straight off the runway!

P.S. Miss World 2008 will be crowned in a day but our Miss India could use a little bit help in winning the Miss People’s Choice. All you have to do is go here and cast your vote. (You have to register, then go to ‘Contestants’ and pick India to vote.)

WLIFW: Lecoanet & Hemant

Lecoanet & Hemant’s collection started off with the expected color palette of subdued hues and charcoal tones and then burst into vivid oranges, canary yellows, iridescent blues and greens.

The jackets were embellished, the tops pleated, the dresses had a goddess drape, and, while pants were fitted, jackets were structured, the coats were voluminous.
