It’s HDIL Couture Week which means five days of Ms. Dewan sporting the best fashion labels. Day one saw her in a gold Lanvin Pre-Fall dress that she paired with a gold clutch and gold sandals. Love the dull gold and Ms. Dewan wore it well but do wish she had changed up the hair. A ponytail would’ve really elevated this look.

But, then it is Anu we are talking about, and we don’t remember ever seeing her wear one. Here’s hoping she tries something new the rest of the days.

When I saw Padma Lakshmi in this Lanvin Spring 2008 dress, I did think it was better suited for editorial purposes… Lo and behold, spotted Deepika Padukone in that very same Lanvin dress for L’Officiel cover…

Definitely, it makes for a better editorial dress over a red carpet one!

Runway To (Red) Carpet

I always pictured that billowing orange gown from Lanvin Spring 08 to be more editorial than red carpet and now am convinced! While I appreciate Padma Lakshmi’s choice over the more straight and narrow gowns, this gown to me just didn’t translate that well from the runway onto the red carpet!

What do you guys think?
