In Hemant And Nandita

Jacqueline was photographed in a Hemant and Nandita dress while at a radio station to promote her upcoming movie.

The dress looked great on her! Perfect even given the playful mood she seemed to have been in.

WLIFW Spring 2013: Hemant And Nandita

Having worked with floral-prints very successfully in the past (Autumn/Winter 2011, Spring 2012), expectations were high from Hemant and Nandita. Titled ‘Kaleidology’, the collection saw extensive use of abstract floral prints.

If you’ve read this blog long enough, you know am a sucker for a good print. And while for the most part they were visually appealing (and some looks did stand out), the presentation tended to get repetitive. It was a little too one note for me.

WLIFW A/W 2011: Day Three (Part Deux!)

Bhanuni, WLIFW A/W 2011

Not much that was fresh or innovative…

Chandrani Singh Florra, WLIFW A/W 2011

The play between masculine and feminine was a tad lost in translation…

S&N Drape By Shantanu And Nikhil, WLIFW A/W 2011

S&N Drape was silk-jersey heavy in body con silhouettes. Like the name suggests, the dresses played on ‘drape’. The vibe was young and perfect ones likely to party hardy!

Hemant And Nandita, WLIFW A/W 2011

Love the print with those roses. Love.

Mrinalini, WLIFW A/W 2011

Clever use of textures and interesting silhouettes made this collection stand out.

Raj Shroff, WLIFW A/W 2011

Asymmetry dominated this collection. Flowey fits and handkerchief hems made for some interesting dresses.

James Ferreira did what he does best, deconstructed, beautifully draped, sharply tailored clothes.

Giselli on Marie Claire: (Un)Covered

From Sonam’s extreme black, we move on to the other end of the color spectrum with Giselli wearing a white Vuitton jacket and shorts ensemble paired with a yellow Hemant & Nandita belt.

I quite like the contrast between the cheery white/yellow vibe and the cold stare of Ms. Monteiro.
