Sharp structured silhouettes, some color amidst the black and beige and basic sheath dresses and tops made up this collection. Of the collection, we liked the tops and saris with the circular motif… The rest, was alrite…

Manish Malhotra is no doubt a good designer but is one who is terribly over-exposed and that quite doesn’t work in his favor! It is evident he has learnt what works and likes to marginally tweak it every now and then, never wandering too far away from his comfort zone. And that works for his core demographic so why not. Fair enough. Except there just is no element of surprise any more. Do you blame us for not being wow’ed? Like at all?
P.S: If the second row, extreme right sari looks very familiar, thats because it is very reminiscent of THIS!

Minissha Lamba walked for Archana Kochhar and we hope thats all she does, don’t want her taking away any of these dresses off the runway! Over-embellished lehengas, pseudo innovative saris and badly crafted gowns got this collection in the running for our least favorites!

Lina Tipnis showed an extremely commercial and wearable collection with a lot of rich colors (other than the usual fall suspects-blacks and browns) and embellishments either in the neckline or at the waist. Our favorites have to be the sheath dresses in rich deep hues with tasteful embellishments on the necklines!
