For the closing ceremony of Cannes, Vidya opted for a floor-length Sabyasachi anarkali featuring a shimmering sequin dupatta. Braided hair and a matching clutch finished out her look.
Did she finish it out with a bang? Not quite, but she did look nice!

Former Ms. India Parvathy attended the premiere of ‘La Venus a la Fourrure’ at Cannes on Saturday in a sari by the MapxencaRS twins, Riddhi and Siddhi.
This season, the ladies have been favoring origami style pleats a lot in their designs and while it makes for an interesting visual, can’t say this look was one we liked. Between the sari with its pleats and print and the exaggerated one-shoulder, the look got rather busy.

For the amfAr gala, Mallika opted for Dolce & Gabbana again, this time in a lace full-sleeve gown featuring a full skirt.
Am not sure if the gown is designed that way or lost its shape on the way there, but the skirt part just looked weird. (This is after looking at many more pics that you can look at as well out here.
But, the skirt was just half the issue. The lace bodice instead of looking sexy just ended up looking matronly.
This one didn’t even come close to her Inside Llewyn Davis red carpet look.

The amfAR gala this year will feature a tribute to Elizabeth Taylor with a gold themed fashion show. The show has been curated by Carine Roitfeld and also features designs by Tarun Tahiliani that will be auctioned away.
Going with the theme, Aishwarya wore a gold sari by the Indian designer for her appearance. I don’t mind the sari but the gold (sari) on gold (blouse) look wasn’t working. A darker shade on the blouse would’ve helped balance the look. As is, it just looked too gaudy.
Not a fan of the tight high updo either. It reminds me of her Ms. World pageant appearance. Hair down also would’ve softened this look.
