In Suparna Som

Comment image 28

Taapsee attended Mulk promotions in Delhi wearing a linen sari and wrap blouse over it from Suparna Som paired with earrings from Riktika Sachdeva. While worn the Nivi way, you’ll notice that the drape comes around from the left and over her right shoulder to work better with the jacket.

I know the combo may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I liked it. With Dallas being so hot right now, I’d wear this in a heartbeat.

P.S. Dallas is where we live in case you are wondering why the mention.

  1. Yes we know you live there and have seen your pics on insta. Your dressing sense is horrible. especially you degrade sarees with awful blouses and weird draping, which does not suit your body figure. My suggestion, since you think you are an excellent critic of stars, you should dress well properly. I am not nit picking, my honest opinion about your personal dressing sense which hurts my eyes.

      • How did this comment make it past moderation? This person is obviously a troll and hasn’t said anything about the look in the post (Tapsee has an infectious smile, and that’s about all I care for in these pictures).

        • Well, if we didn’t approve, we get labeled as being biased and not open to other’s opinions. It’s a Catch-22 for us. :P We’ve always said, if someone wants to critique us, they are more than welcome to. If we can dish it, we can take it. No Biggie. :)

      • Also, if we haven’t approved some replies, it’s because we like to keep a polite tone on here. Even if you are defending us, let’s keep it polite, shall we?

    • 1) Frequenting their respective Instagram
      2) Frequenting their blog
      3) Posting a lengthy comment on their blog

That’s a lot of effort to keep tabs on someone you SO dislike!

      • I do not like the tone of the critique but I feel critique for P and P is a fair game. Has to be done in a respectful manner. Also I do not know how P and P dress. Considering they run a blog on fashion, I would expect that they dress uber proper!

    • “Hurts my eyes”, my ass. You’re downright rude and troll-y.
If it’s worth anything, you have a fan in me P&P. I love your instas and casual sense of style. I got a lot of ideas from your accounts. I especially love Priyanka’s poetic posts and Payal’s saree experiments.

  2. I love celebs owning and reinventing the saree but am not sure I’m quite on board with this — this looks too much like a cross between a kimono and a lab coat — she looks ready to take out a syringe or peer down a microscope any moment.

  3. The blouse looks like a favorite (heavily worn out) white linen shirt – which I wouldnt dare wear outside my home.
Plus the contrast with saree makes it look even older & crumpled.
only saving grace is her beautiful face.

  4. Oh Wow. Lot of responses. Why would anyone wear a shortened bathrobe as a blouse in the scorching heat of 102 in Dallas. Linen saree is right for that temperature in India, in Dallas you have plenty of appropriate clothing for the weather. Dallas and Payal aside, this saree is pretty, the shirt she is wearing may go nice with a skirt or maybe pants. Her face and smile though gorgeous.

  5. It looks like a Bhutanese Kira (?). I wish the top was just a little more tailored. Right now, it looks boxy and makes her look bigger than she is. Also anyone notice a resemblance with Neeta Ambani and her. I think its the eyebrows.

  6. I am very impressed! Payal and Priyanka you both live in Dallas, how on earth do you manage to run an Indian fashion blog ? Kudos

  7. Innovation is necessary but the linen sari and shirt combo falls flat way too often. Time to move on from this.

People who dress well may not be able to run a critique blog and vice versa. No need for a blogger to look “fashionable”. Anyway PnP you dress just fine. Carry on the way you are.
