Sweta sure was taking a risk with this look… question is, did it pay off?

    • Seriously-the whole bottom design is way overdone and almost borders on gaudy IMO. I was with her on the top half and then it was like ‘uggh NO!!!’. Not digging all the stuff on one hand either. Too much.

        • I like when they step out of the norm but these (the rossettes) just come off as tacky and look cheap to me. I don’t know-don’t like at all. But I do agree she usually does take chances beyond what the other Page 3 women wear and I totally appreciate that.

  1. Yeah – think it paid off! Think she looks really nice. Only one thing i would change – i’d get rid of some of the unneccessary wrist jewellery… tacky!

  2. Simply stunning. Shweta is sooooo cool and has the attitude necessary to carry off outfits like this (including that eyeshadow). she looks fab.

  3. I think she does…the edgy hair is what tops it off (no pun intended) and pulls hte looks otgether
This is an exaple of how to work blue eyeshadow (WITH NEUTRALS) :D

  4. she could have skipped on the earrings…and the tights, just looking at her wearing those makes me hot.

its a very clubby look; depends where she was headed

  5. I don’t think this paid off so much as she got lucky. The shape is lovely, but the rest of the details are too fussy. However it defintely is far more interesting than Gul’s effort in the preceeding post. Gul might have the ‘sophisticated good taste’ part of the evening down to a T, but good lord it’s boring. And I can’t help but rue the fact that very rarely on this site is anyone displaying anything like true individuality. Everyone appears styled to within an inch of their lives, even those with hideous clothes. Yes i know cyndi lauper, chloe sevigny and others of their ilk sometimes made you go blind with their efforts, but at least they were expressing part of their personalities with their dress sense. Thank God for that! All this lot look like they are expressing is what credit cards they have in their wallets!

Sorry rant over, but india in a way is such a blank canvas for us to do something really interesting things with western fashion, and instead we all end up looking the same!! ARRRRGH..!! (oops clearly my rant wasn’t yet over)

    NOW it’s over :)

  8. I like it, love it-even the eyeshadow and the stack of bangles-folks she is rocking a colour like Grey…. I love girls who can take risks. Am tired of the same, nice look on so many folks who appear on this blog.

  9. wow – it seems to bring out extreme reactions! i like that its funky. i dont like the design in particular. but the attempt is valiant!

i dont like her eyeshadow either. i’d have preferred her to tone it down and go with a darker mouth

  10. It actually shouldn’t have worked…as many people said the rosette detail is not flattering, but it does work. I do wish her tights were opaque though.
