At Shabana and Javed Akhtar’s Diwali party on Wednesday, Sridevi changed it up wearing a Manish Malhotra sari with navratna choker and matching earrings complete with marigold flowers in her hair.
You know we love a sari sighting and I really want to like this look but I found the blouse with the embroidered border too busy and the pattern too jarring. Especially considering the sari itself had so much going on.

Amazing how a ugly blouse and yellow flowers can ruin a pretty sari.
What is going on with the Bollywood crowd this year? Total tackfest. And if Sridevi is also joining their ranks, then the show has truly hit rock bottom.
And I get it, it’s Diwali and folks have a tendency to go OTT but this time it’s really bad. The stylists seems to be picking up the worst of the MMs, Anamika Khannas, etc.
A plain matching blouse would have looked so much better
Honestly, I quite like it which is very rare when it comes to Sri’s looks. It is toned down n not that garnish if one compares with her usual appearances!
I actually like the blouse more than the saree.
Sridevi has decided to bring out all her accessories, jewels , potlies this festive season . Like there’s no tomorrow.

Does anyone else think that these Diwali Manish Malhotra sightings all seem like embellished Raw Mango rip offs? Somehow MM designs never appear original to me. Last year the heavy velvet and ornate lehengas looked like Santa rip offs.

loved the marigold flowers in her hair. Such a different pick over roses, lily and jasmine.
She looks beautiful. Saris are made for her. Agreed the blouse could have been different. But then it would have been the same ol’ same ol’. The necklace could have been a single line one.

I don’t find anything wrong here. She looks absolutely fantastic. The blouse is more like ‘Tamil’ style but bit poorly done here. Love the flowers. She looks very traditional, apt for the festival mood.
