Wearing grey Theory separates, Sridevi lent her support to Padmini Kolhapure at the launch of the latter’s collection of Indian wear. As crisp as she looked in the separates that was finished out with a pair of grey pumps, the Birkin felt a bit of an eye-sore here.
A mini shoulder bag would’ve worked better here and our eyes wouldn’t be distracted by the tote.

I don’t get the dark sunglasses indoors look. But neither am I a celebrity facing camera flashes.
I like the look in its entirety. A smaller bag may have been better, but the look works as is too.
Umm, not sure, but aren’t Birkins usually meant for “airport” look. Because they are huge, and don’t weigh as heavy as the carrier that itself is almost 3 kgs heavy. Therefore, it gives the ease to carry extra weight because the allowance is upto 7kgs only!
And if that’s the case, I don’t understand carrying a birkin here.. Feels more like, these Indian celebs just wanna show off their possessions considering Birkin is so popular with celebs in the western & european world!
Other than that, yes, Sridevi looks well put together!
If you own a Birkin, isn’t it highly likely that you’d fly first class and not have to worry about baggage allowances?!
I do agree that the bag looks out of place here and that it does well for travelling.
