At designer Manish Malhotra’s birthday celebrations, Sridevi kept it rather low-key wearing a black top with floral pants and finishing out the look with an Hermès Egee clutch, ankle-strap sandals and diamond polki necklace.
As much as I love the necklace, am not sure if it worked with that neckline. She looked nice, nevertheless.
P.S. Why does that floral print look so familiar? (We know it ain’t Gucci)

Agree. As the other bits of her (v nice) outfit are high street- it’s like she felt the need to up the ante and put on gratuitous diamond show.

She’s a striking lady. One of those timeless beauties like waheeda rahman and dimple kapadia. And she’s adapted to modern trends quite well and made them her own. Great going.

LOL! Ain’t there various types of Diamonds? Not all diamonds are born equal. :D I am just guessing that maybe the diamonds used for this polki necklace might be the lower end ones.
That is in no way good quality real diamonds… a diamond that size must be atleast 9-10 carats for each solitaire… even if she can afford it, these is very rare. And anybody in their right mind who went to the trouble of purchasing so many of these expensive gems would not set it in a bezel setting where the light reflection reduces by 1/4th… it could be synthetic diamonds probably

She looks phenomenal. I can only hope to look this good when I’m in my 50s! (or mid-30s for that matter). That is a perfect outfit. The necklace doesn’t bother me at all. If I had one, I’d probably wear with a casual tee too.
