Sonam on Harper’s Bazaar Bride: (Un)Covered
It’s been quite a busy month for Harper’s Bazaar. Not only did they just come out with their 5th year anniversary issue but they also launched a bridal edition featuring Sonam on the cover wearing Sabyasachi couture.
What do you think of the inaugural cover?

Quite lovely. Retro regal glamor!
Thoroughly disappointing
The clothes are beautiful but her expression doesn’t say bride in any way
It says bored
maybe it was an arranged marriage. Though in that case, the expression should be of stark fear.
And that my dear is how to offend many generations of Indians! ;)
Bingo, exactly my thots… She looks s bored
Love the short kurta/blouse…versatile. I’m old fashioned, I expect a bride to be colorful. But the lehenga is still beautiful.
I don’t have a problem with Sonam’s expressions..what i do have a problem with is that she’s styled pretty much the same as the model on the runway from the big nose ring, and multiple necklace, etc…it would have been nice to see something different from the look itself…also, Sabya’s work is getting really repatative…
+ I agree..she looks nice and glamorous and all but the sequins love won’t last forever ..
Sonam looks gorgeous in Sabya! I wish she would wear more Sabya sometimes…
Don’t like the pose nor the angle at which this pic was taken makes her legs look stumpy and short, and a bit of a hunchback and that too not in a model-ly way!
My thoughts exactly. Hate the slouch.
Hunchback of Notre Damme has competition! I’m also pleasantly surprised that Harper’s didn’t airbrush her arms in this pic.
Still, the slouchy posture ruins this.
She doesn’t seem to wear much sabyasachi. A shame because it really suits her!
What is up with that posture? Drowning in couture and designer jewellery does not a cover make. Very lazy styling.
mind blowing.
understated, rich, regal and a perfect launch cover.
:O is this the real nikhil thampi?!
I love your work!!
The colours are muted and dull. It doesnt say bridal to me at all. I find this “meh”.
