At the races today, Sonam did a black and grey look in a Neha Taneja dress, Dior pumps and bag and a Philip Treacy hat.

Love everything except the hat/fascinator. It’s hideous.
she looks fabulous? CAN YOU BE ANY MORE BIASED? She looks atrocious in trying to replicate what Aishwarya does at the Royal Ascot.
I THOUGHT EXACTLY THE SAME when I saw this. Thank God somebody said it!!!! Aish looked regal in that attire.. in white. What a beauty she is!
Sonam looks like “I know I’m looking the best coz I know everything about fashion”. And the hat only makes look like she is bald.
Oh my! I did google Aish in royal ascot and you girls are right indeed! She looked very pretty and elegant compared to Sonam’s drab outfit! The more I look at Aish’s pic, the more I admire her beauty! Indeed regal!

All that black looks dreary and the fascinator is quite an ugly one.

Sonam is such a try hard. It is supposed to look effort less and at ease not like you spend all your time putting together (copying) looks from fashion magazines. Kangana pulls it off most of the time – like she is just having fun with fashion.
The jacket and dress are not a good match. Plus the hat and bag are ugly and the shoes are boring.

Agree with you. Fashion comes naturally to kangana while Sonam pours over magazines and pictures of Hollywood celebs and copies them.

The fit of the dress near her right arm pit is off. And just the choice of dress for a day event is wrong.
Otherwise a nice look on the whole.
Replace the hat for a black one and you have a Hollywood movie mourning widow.

not a huge Sonam fan, but this is a very chic look, much better than anything Ash did at Ascot. love the hat, I could tell it was Treacy when I saw it. Lucky girl!
She looks great! She is appropriately dressed for the event and it is technically winter in Mumbai so black is not a bad choice. A hat looks chic at the races . As far as the comment I hear all the time here “she tries too hard” – what exactly is wrong with that? Like most things in life if you want to be good at something you have to work at it – fashion works the same way. I also love the way Kangana dresses but if anyone thinks she just hops out of bed and puts the first thing she finds on, they are mistaken! Sonam experiments with a variety of looks and after 4.5 years in Mumbai as an expat I can safely say is one of the most stylish actresses around.
No one is saying Kangana doesn’t put effort into the outfits. Its more about how it comes across.
It’s also about how most people look at Sonam with “I don’t like this girl no matter what she does” :P She looks fab here. Not biased at all.
This is a miss for Sonam. I particularly dislike the “paddy” hat.

Bu choosing black the hat came off as staid instead of fun. a burst of a solid color for the dress ( orange, pink ), would have made the hat pop ! She could have still accessorized with the grey elements.
That hat doesn’t work for at all. She need some hair showing somewhere. This just looks weird! Nothing great about the dress either PnP!
