At the awards event held last night in Mumbai, Sonam walked the red carpet wearing an Isabel Sanchis gown. A severe updo, diamond jewelry from Nirav Modi and a whimsical Judith Leiber minaudière finished out the actor’s look.
While the graphic gown looked good on her, the accessories were a downer. All that bling felt rather excessive and I wasn’t quite taken by the choice of clutch.

The left armpit draws attention…inner wear issues…clutch looks just ok with the gown…
I actually thought she looked good here…a wee bit dramatic perhaps.
But yes, the arm-bling is too much.

The dress reminds me of 2 things:
1. Octopus
2. Red Gauri & Nainika gown aishwarya wore in the Lodha Print Ad
She probably thought it was safer to bring out all the diamond jewelry lent to her by Nirav than to leave it at home after the recent theft :P

Smh! You saw this and did not give your usual “inner wear issues” comments, when you’ve given it for far less obvious instances on others featured here. By this time I should not be surprised, but still…Look at those darts on the gown, so badly done. One of those instances where the dress is letting down the wearer, which rarely happens with Sonam, since usually it’s her hair, makeup and accessories that are the downers.
Love the gown, but it is poorly styled with the jewelry and Leiber clutch. Agree with PnP.
I actually like it. Right amount of drama yet restrained. Flatters her figure. Also, I don’t have the X-ray vision to be too bothered by inner wear issues.
She looks lovely and got the height to pull such a dress!

I love the gown and the clutch, and she looks lovely. The hand jewelry is a bit much, the earrings were quite enough for the look.

Shes’ always had a penchant for excess, she could go the whole hog, à la Anna Dello Russo, or stick to minimalism. These tame half-hearted looks do her no favour, only comes off as timid and wannabe.
This is such a boring dress.. Reminds me of my notebook. Just blah!
