In Stéphane Rolland Couture

Introducing Stéphane Rolland to the Indian red carpet for the very first time was Sonam at the Star Screen Awards. The actor never shies away from doing drama and here she did so by picking the most voluminous gown from the designer Fall 2016 couture collection. The black and white skirt with its full sleeves and full-skirt wasn’t devoid of that sexy factor that comes with each of Rolland’s creation and here it came via the sheer panel that revealed plenty.

In all the full-lengths, Sonam looked good but when I see the closeups, can’t say I like that eye-shadow.

More pics inside.

  1. As much as I love Stéphane Rolland – this gown looks very bad. Especially the sheer panel element – it looks very bad. Also, her make up is not helping.

  2. That skirt is all sorts of wrong. I don’t understand why Celebs go for gown material that makes it look like they didn’t bother ironing their clothes? It’s one of the reasons i hate satin. Celeb or not, you can’t get away with an un-ironed look.

  3. my god the eye shadow! The makeup is awful. The sheer panel makes the gown look a little..i dont know..fake? The skirt looks good sideways, but from the front it looks like random pieces of white and black satin stitched together

  4. I love the drama of it at first glance but on closer inspection the skirt does not look well finished
I don’t mind the sheer panel too much because the fit above waist is really good
But man that makeup is a tragedy and seriously ages her in the close ups
The woman looks stunning when she tones down the war paint so this feels so unnecessary

  5. I love the drama this gown is bringing to red carpet, most gowns/looks are repetitive. Sonam switches is up, so kudos to her. I don’t mind the eyeshadow – she looks great.

  6. She looks so stunning and the make up is good too. What a spirited move to wear this gown. It is not really an average person’s appetite to do so. But she does it with aplomb. Kudos, you look great girl.

  8. Ms. Sonam Kapoor and stylist need to step back and take a chill pill. We all know she is stylish but now seems to be always over-dressed. Her undying quest to find the most unique gown is not paying off. She often looks simply moronic!

  9. Kudos to Ms.Kapoor for always bringing flair to the show. I do feel, however, her lip colour needed to be brighter. Considering she has an elfin face and is sporting a severe up do with all that volume going on in the dress, a brighter lip would’ve brought attention back to her face.

  10. She wears the gown well. The sheer/exposure doesnt look vulgar only because there is no cups running over. Lol. But that makeup is all kinds of ghastly. Pffft.

  11. I don’t mind the makeup, cut crease is quiet in these days. I don’t mind the sheer panel as well normally but I hate how disfiguring it is. The asymmetry of the sheer panel is squishing one side and that’s distracting. No denying the drama is awesome.

  12. She looks like she belongs to the Adams family and not in good way. Horrendous gown especially that sheet paneling. The make up makes it worse
