In Rahul Mishra

For the screening of Veere Di Wedding, Sonam picked Rahul Mishra separates wearing it with a milkmaid braid. Once look at the top and it felt off instantly and revisiting the runway version showed me why. The extra sleeves on the already frilly top made it feel so much more heavy.

The sleeveless version of the runway worked so much better in balancing out the pants. Agree?

  1. From Bridezilla to GODZILLA. That was quick. Somehow the model makes it work. Probably cos she doesnt have frills around her arms.

  2. She is on a mission to wear the weirdest clothes for this movie’s promotions. Only this time, the clothes are wearing her and not the other way around.
The pants are extra-wide and needed a fitted plain tee shirt on top. The one on the model doesn’t work for me either.
Hasn’t Aditi worn a version of these pants?

  3. What kind of monstrosity is this? She is wearing everything from shredded bedsheets to this clown outfit. She has lost her marbles it seems. Could it be the post cannes bottom style ratings she got? Even a newbie Mahira got higher poll rating than her.

    Seriously, wut?
What on earth is that..? What has “high” fashion come to? Which human will agree to step out in that?

  5. Its awful. No other way to describe it.
The kitchen drape inspired frill is perhaps singularly the worst clothing she has ever worn. The trousers make her look bigger but on their own with a normal top could be carried. But that top…. what is that about?

  6. She’s seriously lost a bet with Anand – the one who loses has to wear the whackiest outfits picked out by the other – no matter how ridiculous or outrageous!!!!
    Poor Sonam!

  7. Damn. I think she looks cute– I agree the sleeves kind of bring the look down but don’t think this deserves the clown label everyone is throwing at her.

  8. The addition of the frilly sleeves ruins the look. Also when you’re not flat chested and those frills hits you at the boobs, it just looks weird, which is the case with Sonam.

  9. Hey PnP! Once the VKW or whatever they are promoting disguised in serious atrocities one after another. You girls need to do a layout of ALL the outfits each one of them wore for this movie, like in one single post titled “How not to…” Just for reference to the future stylists. Please please…

Also is the stylist Rhea? coz she clearly lacks understanding of styling different women who is not her sister or her. Every South Mumbai girl thinks they have what it takes to style anyone but all they have is 3 styles in their kitty for every shape and size and sensibility

“Once the VKW or whatever they are promoting disguised in serious atrocities one after another, is over.”
….who are not her sister …

    • But Rhea & Sonam are from Juhu, which is the opposite end from South Mumbai. And 90% of the Bollywood stylists are not from South Mumbai.

      • So Rhea is styling them?
“okai then….lets elaborate and say ‘every rich girl with access to brands and exposure to fashion”

  10. My main issue are pant which are touching the floor. So tall she is , still drowning in them. Her makeup is good though!

  11. This is meant for someone with no chest, that is why it looks better in the model. If .youre anything more than an A cup, it throws the proportions off. And the sleeves are very unnecessary.

  12. The runway version is nice but looks soooooo different on Sonam!
Could be made into a “what you order online and how it ends up looking like” meme

  13. She repurposed the fifties lampshade for the top, and recycled the drapes for the loose pants. In this day of wastage, kudos to an eco-wise Sonam, NOT! I bet she paid a bomb for that pretentious excuse of fashion.

  14. the runway top is definitely better, and looking at the model and her fit of the flared pants, I feel Sonam’s is a one size too large for her.
