In Armani Privé
Launching a Cannes inspired collection for L’Oréal Paris’ was brand ambassador Sonam in Mumbai. For her appearance, she opted for an Armani Privé with peacock earrings by mom Sunita Kapoor’s Signature line.
Mixing up Indian jewellery with western looks is something we’ve seen Sonam do a lot. But, in this case, I find the look disconnected. The hair and earrings feel like they belong on a sari rather than with this dress. Just me?

Ya just you. Im happy she wore these earrings with this outfit. They stand out and look lovely.
I second that…those earrings adds color to the black dress. The hair is lovely as well and looks really good with this dress.
Absolutely agree.. love the look!
+1
Love the earrings. Sunita Kapoor seems to have a wonderful collection. Sonam looks so pretty. In spite of the funny skirt and dull brown top.
I love the mix up of indian jewelry with the western outfit. She looks super cute.
Beautiful earrings, but they don’t belong with this dress. I love the rest of the look and Sonam looks gorgeous as always, but those earrings just don’t work! I’m surprised the stylist went with them…
Love the look. There is enough gold in the dress to warrant those beautiful, colorful earrings.
i agree, the hair & earrings dont suit her dress.
I think it’s an unflattering outfit and does nothing good for her..neck up she looks gorgeous, love those earrings.
The dress looks big on her but I’ll ignore that.. Love the hair do and everything is well put together.. She looks charming :)
that volume makes her look bulky ..
Thank God for the earrings, because the rest of the outfit looks very bad. That is one ugly skirt with no shape just a whole lot of fabric.
Completely agree with you Payal
Payal, I am with you on this, and am generally not a fan of mixing very traditional looking jewelry with something that’s already a statement piece.. Don’t like the earrings with the dress, and don’t really like the dress on her either..
Ditto!
The hair and dress don’t go with the drop-dead-gorgeous earrings
Agree – it’s a mismatch. Those earrings are beautiful, and the hairstyle pretty but the fitting of that dress is completely off. I can see what they were going for here with those earrings and the dress, but the look does not come together.
Now this a look I call frumpy…unlike Sridevi who looked great in her flared dress. It ages her way beyond her years.
While I like that she does vintage fashion, she (or her stylist) haven’t yet mastered the art of how it should be done. While doing a dress like that she should’ve balanced with an edgy hairdo. But everything vintage makes her look exactly that…vintage.
Pretty. But completely mismatched and haphazard. But I think I like this less because I saw her on NDTV dishing out fashion advice to her peers at this event. Like how “Vidya Balan should only wear sarees” -_-
+1 after the fashion fiasco at Cannes last year I was wondering what was she thinking in giving advice when she doesnt follow her own song and dance
That skirt is too elephantine in texture for me and the earrings as gorgeous as they are don’t go with the outfit. And something looks off about her eye makeup.
I LOVE Sonam’s style! She creates her own, sets trends and, very obviously, doesn’t give 2 hoots to what people think. Such a refreshing change from boring blow-dried hair, MM and Sabya overdoses and flashy jewellery and accessories!
And yes, I LOVE the earrings, they are a great touch and add that element of fun to the outfit!
total mismatch
She looks lovely head to toe.
I agree……those earings just don’t seem to go with dress…….also i don’t see all the fuss about sonam……neha dhupia does vintage so much better….

I agree with you Payal…
The earrings do no go with the dress at all. I am all for mixing elements… but this looks very disconnected. Also, the dress is big on her and that hairstyle ages her.
+1 between all the comments above I think everyone has said what I already thought of as 1st impression
i love those earrings!!! Does her mum sell her designs somewhere in mumbai?
refreshing to see an armani prive, the earrings do not go with the whole look at all. and would have loved to see this on Kangana.
