In Anamika Khanna

For Sonam it was an Anamika Khanna sari, one that she looked gorgeous in. Loved the simple styling and jewellery but can’t say we are a fan of how she carried the bag.

  1. Unless she decides to fix her ashy makeup/concealer issues, I don’t think anything is going to work. Plus that blouse is hideousness galore.

  2. I don’t like this look. Even my mother-in-law doesn’t dress like this! Looks like Sonam borrowed this outfit from her Aunt Sri…. she should be wearing this kind of ensemble. Not Sonam.

  3. Not feeling it at all. I wish she would dress her age and stop going for the mature look, it doesn’t suit her. Her face is too cute and innocent looking to pull off these types of looks. And the makeup is too much here, needs to tone it down.

  4. I don’t like this either. The make up and the blouse don’t work. The look is dated . The saree is very pretty . Should have been styled different.

  5. Although Sonam does look very lovely, it would be perhaps more suited for someone a tad older no? Someone here once mentioned that she dresses like an aging socialite and I have to agree, she does.

  6. so no minor gripe about those horrible “net sleeves”? nothing about how this makes her look 10 years older. That’s unfair HHC!

  7. Reminds me of 1920’s sarees. Considering she likes ‘vintage’ fashion this is right up her alley. She looks cute actually. Love her bag.

    • Pity that HHC is no place for vintage fashion appreciation.

Not a fan of her contemporary look but one of few actresses who can carry off the vintage vibe.

  8. Nothing works here .. hair / make-up / blouse .. she could do better. The purse and the sari are lovely though!
And to all the people who cry ‘biased’,see, we do not blindly fan-girl Sonam !!

  9. She looks lovely but maybe its the cream colour that is making her look older here? This same saree in another pastel colour would have looked better. Nice vintage vibe though which she seems to go for.

  10. This look is too mature for her and it looks dated. That blouse with the unfinished net sleeves is an eye sore. Its high time she did something about her make up issues. Make up plays a big role in making or breaking a red carpet look. In her case, her make up has been her downfall consistently.

  11. I’m not faulting Sonam’s taste, everything she’s wearing is beautiful. But this outfit can (head to toe) be worn without a single change when she’s 80.

  12. The sari is lovely, but this look is something I’d envision my grandma in. And I would not want to inflict that hideous blouse (those sleeves!)on anyone.

  13. Why you no mention the hideous blouse P & P? It’s just grossly over embroidered and just noticed it actually has a sleeve! Even a bustier blouse would do better.

I’m starting to see why people say you are biased :)

I disagree with others that it ages her though- wearing a nice, formal sari is not the exclusive domain of old people. And I love this particular sari, would certainly wear it (I’m 27).

I don’t know about make-up all that much, but it seems to me that she is trying to look “Fair” – why Sonam!?
