Loving It

It surely was refreshing to see Sonali in a purple sari at the Indian Idol finale, firstly, because we rarely see her wear any and secondly because she wore it so well.

We love. You?

  1. oh my … why does she look so old when her contemporaries (read aish) are still going strong in films?

not too big a fan of the sari itself but she does look good.

  2. i think she looks really pretty and she is actually wearing a saree with a regular drape and a blouse that doesn’t how her privates or one boob! woow!!! I think she looks very classically indian in this saree and carries it off very well..and i actually think she looks much better than many of her contemporaries, especially when you see her flawless skin…

  3. I think the sari, blouse and all the jewelery together are a tad much for my liking. She does look nice though, and it’s a refreshing change.

  4. she looks beautiful, and her blouse is nice, but the sari is not very attractive. like someone said, she looks like she’s acting in one of those saas bahu shows.

  5. There are way too many colors in that one sari.. I dont like that.. But I like it that it’s so well draped. She’s wearing a sari the way it’s supposed to be worn!

  6. Enigma,
It is not safe to buy it online. Most of the stuff you see online is made with glass and super cheap. Sonali is wearing Kundans made with uncut diamonds (polki) and those are expensive.

  7. @Enigma Totaram Jewelers have an online website with real kundan
i haven’t ordered from them online but i did see a set on the website and ask my aunt to go look them up – they are a real store – and i got the set through the store
hence i’m assuming the website is legit too?

  8. she looks very pretty…saree is nice too…ok so it’s a bit aunty-ish but considering that she’s really out of movies now and in fact taking care of her children and family, I think it’s ok for her to look aunty-ish; especially when she remains beautiful-looking all the same!

  9. I’m not particularly fond of the saree itself….but I too think its well draped and to top it off she’s wearing a “normal” blouse gives her brownie points from me!

  10. she is looking good after a long time. She is wearing an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosala ghota creation sari. She always looks good when she wears an ajsk

  11. I love the sari and was going to ask who was it by till I read one of the comments above. A sari is such a graceful outfit and suits everyone – as long as it is draped right. An inexpensive sari draped well can look beautiful while an expensive sari draped improperly can look awful.

I think she carried it off really well andI loved her jewelrry. One day I too shall have my polki set :)

  12. the sari looks a little tacky 2 me. namrata are u sure it’s abu sandeep? coz they make classier stuff. but anyway, sonali is ROCKING this look. she looks amazing. the blouse seems a tad 2 small 4 her though. but she looks pretty.

  13. Man, right when I saw her enter during the finale I was positive her outfit was going to a) be posted on here b) be praised. I’m madly in love the color’s not the typical purple we’ve been seeing of late, but she works it.

  14. hmmmm the whole look is a meh – she looks a bit aunti ji -ish – but it is draped the way it should – so kudos for that.

  15. Not really my favorite type of sari… there’s too much “kaam” and it looks heavy-ish. also, like others have said, it is on the aunty-ish side. BUT she draped it very nicely so props to Sonali on that. :)

  16. i loved the saree. infact can i wanted to know if i can get a similar one but fake because being a abu sandeep creation it must be really expensive.
