Well, we all agreed that we didn’t like folded denims on men. What about the women?

  1. i say ‘nay’ on both..especially when you are wering a flowy top like sonali is..i think the folded denims can work with capri denims..but i am not a fan of the folded look at all..unless it’s raining and you want to avoid getting your jeans wet!

  2. i also think that the shoe worn with the folded denims is what makes the biggest difference (take for instance ballet flats (for women) instead of boots)… along w/ how its folded, one awkward 3″ fold looks rediculous as opposed to a less stiff double fold/roll … basically wrong shoes w/ the wrong fold….

  3. Folded pants are a no no for men but for women it can work put together well.
Sonali’s folded jeans could have looked sleek if she’d wear them with goodhigh heeled pumps or sandals. Thekind of boots she is wearing are no good .

  5. I think folded denims can look really nice with the right shoes/boots etc. and of course the rest of the outfit has to match, which is absolutly not the case with Sonali’s outfit…

  6. sonali loooks so baaaaaaad :(
why doesn’t she just fix her hair?!

As for the folded denims, both of them look equally awful…. It’s a tie :)

  7. agree with Apsara77,capri denims with folds look fun…not at a formal occasions like these…why can’t they go with the simple old indian salwar suit? even farah…such weird length pants…

I really wish Sonali grew her hair back…i might be abt the same weight range as sonali..and I have chubby cheeks, flab etc…but overall…i get compliments tht I look thin! I may sound stupid..but long hair frames the face and makes the appearance thinner…atleast that’s what I feel now…wot say u all?

  8. What’s goin on? Lately, I feel that the posts have gotten a little lackluster. I personally would be interested in seeing more high-profile celebrities and less of the older, aunty-ji’s and the psuedo-celebrity men.

  9. sonali needs to first burn those boots which are like from 50s, she has a cute face and nice height, if she loses around ten pounds and let her hair grow long and layer it I am sure Fara Khan will cast her in one of her movies

  10. Not A Sheep,
We feel your pain, but, the lack of events happening in Mumbai right now are partly to blame for so many lackluster posts! ;)
But, we are trying our best to have something new for y’all to read everyday instead of having nothing!

  11. I have to say that I do (YES GASP) fold my denims
…becasue I am pitifully short and they don’t make things in my size
and it looks FINE with the right shoes etc., but not with highheeled boots because I don’t think there would be a need to fold your denims over them :/

  12. I’m with ar00j it’s all about the shoes… I have a pair of Citizens that I fold and unfort., I can only wear them occasionally because a) You have to have the right pair of shoes… (casual is what works here) b) the right top. You can’t wear it with a dressy top… well you can but it’s hard.

  13. i am completely against folded jeans! no matter how short, tall, skinny, fat you are.. there is easily a tailor accessible in any part of the world who can take care of all your alterations!

  14. All said and done. These pictures just make me realise that SB is a working mom just like me. Her looks (tired) and her short cropped hair makes her a plebian (just like one of us).
She is in no rush to join the celluloid and don the grease paint and her kiddo is her real priorty.
And as far as Not a Sheep’s comment; to each his own; I think HHC is doing a great job bringing an entire gamut of celebrities (self proclaimed or not).
Though the posts are not as many as I would want to see.;))

it’s going to take a long time for mumbai to get back to normal and for people to be out and about in the same spirit as before.

  17. sonali looks like a right old mess. her shirt makes her tummy look wide, her hair is unflattering, the boots are clumpy and the fold up denims shorten her height. even farah looks good in comparison.

  18. i’d say it depends on the shoes. not with these black shoes on sonali for sure.
and not on men either…though you never know with kolhapuri chappals and sandals they might look interersting

  19. ewww .. and the boots makes it worse..so worse.. and i cant help noticing sonali s tummy.. she lost weight i agree but shud wear clothes less noticable… but she is beautiful

  20. I agree with ar00j about the shoes worn with folded denims. Men should NEVER wear them but tall ladies with ballet flats or sandals can carry the look. Sonali’s booties ruin the outfit.

  21. guys there’s seriously no fashion/entertainment left in my LIFE! Please dig up something from the archives and rescue me! I literally have no incentive to study without highheel…my exam grades are now in your hands!

  22. Fashioncrazy,
Agreed. But, there is only so much we can pull out of archives or write about with the lack of events and appearances.

  23. HELLO! Sonali looks a village boy with a cheap wig, protruding ponch and gastly shoes. Why can’t these women dress normal – it always spells “TRYING HARD & HARDER”.
