It was a custom made lace overlay dress with a cut-out back for Ms. Sinha at a recent do. Hair worn up and black pumps completed her look.

We want to like this look but can’t help but think something’s off. Maybe it’s the champagne-nude under-lining with the black lace. Besides, the length of the dress (on her) seems to throw off the proportion.

  1. It’s a pretty dress and she wears it well. But the sleeve length is not flattering at all. It cuts off at the broadest part of the arm. A prettier option would be have a high collar with deep cut sleeveless. Anyway, her pleasant smile graces the dress.

  2. Her frame is not built to work these dresses. These dresses make her look wider and/or heavier (for a lack of better words) then she may actually be unless of course that is the look she is going for. If she took note of this she would stop wearing these dresses and find what suits her frame well.

  3. The hem of the dress is much too awkward (length and construction) and the heels are wrong for it, but otherwise she looks quite nice.

  4. I really want to love this girl, but she just never hits the mark! This dress is disgusting, and she really needs to understand that above the knee is just not right for her. Makes her look short and dumpy. Pleeeease Sonakshi, if you read this, take heed. You are gorgeous, but your clothes really let you down.

  5. That dress is not flattering on her, custom made as it maybe…it looks like a cheap knock-off from the tailor down the street. Not to mention the matronly hair.

  6. When I saw the dress bfr 2 days I thought which designer makes dresses with sleeves and no cleavage show..something which has become non-existent in designer dresses.. then I read its custom.. now a days that is what it takes to dress decently! Kudos to Sonakshi.

  7. There’s nothing about this look which says “custom made”. If anything, the fit is even more off and unflattering than if she’d bought RTW. Such an ordinary, and dare I say it, ugly outfit.

  8. The problem is with the front neckline, its way too high and the embroidery around the neck, makes it look like she forgot to wear the churidar the dress came with.

  9. am sorry, but nothing works for me. not her face, not that dress, certainly not the hair or the shoes. one size doesn’t need to fit all, but dressing for your body type just seems so basic and so rare.

  10. She seriously needs to stop this lace charade! It’s enough! How much of the same thing can you wear and for how long? She’s practically always in the same thing … same fit, same length, always in lace, and always the same kin of shoes …. It’s not that flattering, or at least not any more!
