We had wanted to see a Saaj By Ankita dress off the runway when we first posted about her A/W collection. Doing us the favor was singer Sona Mohapatra who picked one of the looks that we had showcased on the blog and wore it pretty much the same way as Simran did on the runway.
While we love that Sona has been trying out looks from new designers, can’t say I love this look on her even though the boho-hippy style is so her.

I wonder what the designer is thinking when they come up with such terrible designs.The only reason it looks “OK” on model is because models can carry anything.

Paya & GGl, the lady is on stage for heavens sake!! the design is perfect for such an occasion!! she looks fine too :)
That is one awful outfit… there were better looks in the collection she could have chosen (though only if she’d had a gun at her head).
On the model it looks OK, on Sona it looks awful!

very costumey! I like the flair but its more of a stage outfit that i’d expect to see the cast of Zangoora wear on stage. something abt the outfit is off…also the length on Sona is awkward…maybe if she was taller it wud have looked passable as it did on the ramp..?
So , why don’t you like it Payal ? Think she looks lovely . Natural beauty , lovely smile and gorgeous voics . The colours of the outfit suits Sona so well …
People , in case you didnt notice , the lady is on stage , singing with a mike (has a voice to die for btw)… a singer , performer has the liberty to look flamboyant in the least & i think Sona looks much better than the stick & wooden faced mode ! :)

but somehow, i always think of this lady as the wierd eyeliner girl…she is fine here but thr was a WTHeyy she was in some months ago which i just cant forget…

different , unconventional. not a look most ‘normal’ people would dream about attempting outside of the catwalk or stage ? Think she looks comfortable & confident though !
looks more like a WTheyy moment for me. Either I dislike the dress on Sona, because her body is too curvy for the dress, or, the dress actually is pretty hidoeus and can only look good on the model.
Maybe you guys are drwan towards it because the desginer is new, you like her in general and because she finally found a prominent wearer? No offense! :)
