In a fresh off-the-runway Myoho dress, Sona attended the Grazia Young Fashion Awards. I like the pop of orange (of her shoes) against the dress but not big on the white oversized clutch with rest of the look.

The dress is nice and Sona looks good in it. I don’t mind the clutch so much but am finding the ankle band very distracting.

I think the outfit is hideous – both on and off the runway. It does her no favours whatsoever. Those shoes are ugly and are an intentionally ugly clash.
India is brimming with design talent, but I have to say that some of these Indian designers seem to make things shapeless and hideous just to spite our typical desi “tight-and-spangly” aesthetic.
And for anyone who thinks that I would automatically praise a European/American designer if they had created the same piece – I say NO. I wouldn’t. The brand doesn’t make it fashionable or stylish. There are plenty of hideous couturiers.
Take Karl Lagerfeld for both his own house and work with Chanel and Fendi. I find Chanel to be intensely overrated and not having much aesthetic value – pearls and tweed and organza, I get it. The jacket and the bags have pretty much looked the same for 50 years. Whatever.
I need to take a chill pill. It’s been a rough day.
