In Anamika Khanna

Shraddha attended the Bachchans’ Diwali do wearing an Anamika Khanna lehenga. Wearing her hair down in soft waves, she finished out the look with a red lip, jewelry from Anita Dongre and a gold-tone clutch. Like the look on her?

  1. I mean, she’s definitely fit enough to pull off the look, but what’s the point of wearing a saree with a pallu that’s completely see through anyway?

    • I think the pallu suffers from the severe camera flash. On a dark diwali night with lights around it probably seemed a good idea. She looks so bright and fresh here usually she looks so worn off.

  2. Gorgeous girl. She has that good body to wear such short blouses. It does not even look tacky though it is all net. Huma, DON’T get ideas to do the same. PLEASE NO!

    • Do people who come here to comment and trash talk celebrities ever realize that how awful one must feel to read all the negativity. Imagine yourself all dressed and dolled up and then imagine hearing some of the comments here about yourself. What would that do to your self-worth? I’m sure Huma doesn’t give two hoots about HighHeel Confidential, but as women, can’t we for once, show some kindness to our tribe?

      • I agree that some comments do get vicious especially when they attack certain body types but ‘showing kindness to our tribe’ surely doesn’t mean lauding bad clothes and poor dressing. That is hypocritical. This is a fashion blog and the point is kind of to dissect clothes.

        • Yeah, sure. I get it. It is so easy to “dissect clothes” hiding behind an anonymous username. Who is to say the commentator is not dressed in a pair of sloppy PJs and ridiculous hair? That is hypocrisy.
Goddammit, what world is this where being kind to someone is considered ‘hypocritical?’ And FYI, barring a few very very unfortunate fashion choices by some, none of the others need the kind of fashion policing seen here. Yes, pun totally intended.
I’m done in this vile vile place. Have a good life.

          • I think you are missing the point. It would be very ridiculous if the requisite to comment on a post was to slip into a Valentino gown.
Just to clarify, my comment was not to condone the Huma bit that was said by an earlier commentator but to tell you that the motive of a fashion blog is not necessarily to show kindness but to discuss clothes. And yeah, it is fashion, it is superficial and very vain so instead of collapsing under its vileness, let’s not take it so seriously.
Anway, since you are all in ‘what is this world…’ mode and already making bad puns to combat it, I think you’ll be okay. Adios!

      • Why bring in Huma unnecessarily and compare her body type to Shradha’s? And I’m sorry, certain things are trashy regardless of body type. Shardha may have a great ‘conventional’ figure according to your template, but this net saree with a poor drape is outright universally tacky.

    • Ha ha ha. Agreed. Huma will sure get ideas from this one. And it is even more funny how there is some commentator who has spoken about Madhuri- to not get ideas. Looks like Madhuri does not have supporters like Huma. :P It’s a general hypocrisy on HHC that people who talk about fashion policing on a FASHION blog will do comment policing.

  3. THAT makeup with THAT sari would’ve looked extremely tacky on anyone else but Shraddha somehow manages to make it work. She looks lovely.

  4. Beautiful she looks. I have seen such teeny blouses on Deepika & Sonam too on HHC. All three manage to work such clothes. And the comment “Have a good life” is hilarious. HHC is a damnfunny place for real. Peeps come here to check on ‘fashion” and when their favorites get commented upon negatively they take it all too personal. If Huma probably doesn’t bother, why to care what is being commented upon? Irony much.
