Its like Shivani Wazir wants to single-handedly bring the ‘kamar-bandh’ back into mainstream… ;)

  1. She looks good, put together, carries it well and wants us to know its her signature style…now we know! :D

A little change will do no harm unless she wants to get stuck in the style rut!!

  2. Don’t know… none of these looks work for me. I like the idea, esp if it’s on a slim waist. But these chains are a bit too chunky for me… altogether screams ‘trying too hard’

  3. looking good in the white, but thats about it.

Dunno why she’d to do that to the gorgeous black sari. There are TWO of them there.. one just below the bust and one on the waist… whats the point?

  4. @Foxie: With the black saree, the blouse is actually worn on TOP of the saree! So the ‘belt’ you see below the bust is actually the border of the blouse… NO idea why she’s do something like that…

  5. The outfit in the first picture is nice. The other two…not so much. The kamar bandh does make the sari seem more practical and easy to move around in; no more of that ballooning of the pallu whenever you bend.

  6. Like the white. In the first photo, perhaps a solid color blouse would have been better. Too much print there. And that chain wasn’t needed in the 3rd photo I think…when the blouse already has a border (the blouse worn on Top of the sari..never knew about this style, thx FP)

  7. I adore the white sari – the kamar bandh gives it a Grecian look, and on a slim waist it could look amazing. But as much as I love experimenting with different ways to wear a sari, the other two looks are atrocious, especially the black and gold sari. I mean, really, who could possibly think wearing a blouse over the sari itself would be flattering?
