A new season of ‘Bigg Boss’ has started and is being hosted by Shilpa Shetty. For the very first episode, Shilpa wore a red Manish Malhotra sari which didn’t quite impress.

Neck down, the skin show makes it a very hoochie mama look. The saree is nothing special. But hv to admit her face looks gorgeous!
Why does she tie her saris so low like that??? I think it’s really tacky!! If you want to be naked, do it in western clothes.
Umm, Shilpa….you want to wear a low skirt with a bra top and a scarf? Sure, go right ahead. But this new-age saree? Please.
To me the USP of the saree is the grace it exudes; watching someone wear it this way almost *offends* me.
Bland and boring. Not something expected outta Ms Shetty who is now a yoga goddess and all… Something more sophisticated or, knowing Ms Shetty, flashy would be more like it. Even the promos of Big Boss 2 weren’t all that great. Wonder whats up. Anyone seen the episode?
Except for her face, nothing looks great. A saree shd not be worn tht low. Personally, I feel she looks gr8 wearing saree the proper way. This is so awful.
Damn! she’s still got it going with that smoking hot bod. Yeah, the saree is just so-so.
i hate hate hate tailored sarees on indians. when westerners do it, there’s an excuse…

i have to go with the others. why would an indian wear a pre-stitched saree?! they’re so tacky. and yes – if i had a body like that i’d be tempted to show it off too, but this amount of skin show just looks trashy. blech. to say nothing about how crappy the saree itself is.
well.. say whatever you want.. i think she totally rocked it with this saree.. the saree and the way its worn is well, tacky, i admit.. but she looked and carried it well..
Big Boss had some surprising participants, so it might just be an interesting watch
it wasnt even a propoer sari…looked like a skirt and a bra top…atrocious is the right word…

It reminds me of the saree Sushmita Sen wore in the movie Main Hoon Na. Y’know that party song where they’re all wearing black and red? Her’s is a red stitched saree accented with embroidery in black colour.

The whole point of wearing a sari is to look elegant and graceful – timeless beauty and style… Ms Shetty seems intent on flashing her cosmetically enhanced bod every opportunity she gets – I guess she will do anything to take the attention away from that face.
whatever Sari talk….All went over head. She’s got a SMOKIN’ body!! Envy coming….

1) dreadful highlights.
2) the revolting color/fabric combinations on that sari.

That saree is a disaster…the blouse was still okay but the rest of it was purely ghastly. Yet may i add, Shilpa looked drop dead gorgeous IN SPITE of that dance bar costume!
She looks brilliant. Any help on the necklace??? Now that is HOT too…Where can one find such a piece?
Even Shilpa’s stunning jewellery and smokin’ body cannot save that sari…the embellished patches, the colour combo, the way its tied is all wrong! Manish Malhotra is going from bad to worse…bleh :p
i actually saw the episode when she anchored… lol it looked like glittering gift paper… and what’s with her obesession with the waist??? Jeeez… Ok girl you got a figure, but atleast wear the outfit roperly

Shilpa Shetty is totally DDG (Drop Dead Gorgeous). Manish Malhotra’s creation is very very disappointing. On a different note…I think tailored sarees are just a different kind of attire. Once I stop comparing it to a saree, I quite like it (not this one, though!). Maybe we should not call them *tailored sarees* but come up with a new name.
Well, everyone is talking about the sari but what I really like is her necklace which was made by bandra’s Anmol jewellers.

That is not a sari. It’s a bra on a skirt with a sash. It would be an insult to call that thing a sari.
at least she’s got her jewellery right. i don’t like those huge earrings she used to wear. agree with everyone about the yucky outfit.

Dear Rubywoo, Shilpa has had ONLY a nose job, the rest she was born with, so no she is not displaying her cosmetically enhanced bod. Manish was the stylist for the show, and if you see the whole pic, it is that hideous JADE GOODY’s hands she is holding
I doubt she was born with those boobs – unless she miraculously developed them at 25 cos they certainly weren’t there in her earlier films and that nose certainly isn’t the result of one meeting with the scalpel.
Sad thing is she can deny it all she wants but her films are living, life long proof of her ever changing face and body.
Yoga is good but it aint that good!

yoga gives you the kareena type look. sush, shilpa, urmila – all got their curves under anesthesia!
I absolutely dislike Ms. Shetty- from her Sridevi-sque screams to her utterly bland personality…Even if she were well turned out and not in such a hideous outfit, I’d have disliked her…She’s over-rated and terribly insipid in my opinion…Hope her fans don’t send me hate mail..I am just stating my opinion and am NOT imposing it on the rest of the world…
