Grey Matters

If Ms. Shetty had stuck to her white and black color scheme we wouldn’t be here but just cuz she didn’t, here we are.

Grey is a great color to balance a look but not when the outfit is so starkly black and white like Ms. Shetty’s was.

  1. i dont think its the “grey” that went wrong here. the outfit is horrendous. the pants are ok. but weirdly cut white shirt, sloppy vest n that funny lookin belt.like WTF? n shilpa has one of THEE best bodies in btown, n still makes her look disproportionate n frumpy.

    • Agree! Nothing is working here! replace that vest with a nice men’s-style-fitted-short vest and the look will be dramatically better! And those shoes are ugly – there is a sexy edgy peep toe bootie and there is a cheap-I-am-trying-too-hard-but-dont-know-what-works bootie – this one falls in the second category! Not sure its the shape or the chunky heels!

    • Completely in agreement! None of the proportions work (she has an amazing body so she doesn’t come off THAT badly, but sitll), that belt is ridiculous and neither here nor there, and the grey shoe-boots don’t actually take the outfit to another level, black would have been sharper. The awkward amount of ankle show could have been avoided if the skinnies were high-waisted and cropped, adding more length to her fab legs rather than detracting.

  2. I don’t like the shoes. But when you look at the overall image, she has such striking features, that my attention in drawn only to her face and not to what she’s wearing. And she is beautiful!

  3. I think she was matching the ‘belt’ part of her outfit with her shoes, and she isnt Ms. Shetty anymore, give the woman some credit, she is married.

    • That was my first thought too. I did not even notice the shoes. Honestly, the shoes are the least of her problems in this outfit.

On a different note, she still is Ms Shetty. That is the whole point of using “Ms”, it does not say whether a woman is married or not. In my opinion, it is better than “Miss” or “Mrs” because there is no reason for a woman’s marital status to be mentioned with her name. Besides, I don’t understand why we should “given the woman some credit” for being married.

      • Hahaha good point, but I think respect should be shown to her and she should be referred as Mrs even though you want to keep the shetty fine but not when in almost all if not all her photos she have her husband on her arms.

        • I cannot speak for Shilpa Shetty, but for me Ms is more respectful than Mrs. It means that the woman has an existence and value which is her own. She does not need to be acknowledged as married to get respect. Why is being married a sign of respect? For a woman like Ms Shetty who has earned fame and money on her own strengths, I would find it almost insulting if P&P suddenly started calling her Mrs Kundra. Calling her Mrs Shetty will be doubly wrong because that sounds like she is married to a Mr Shetty. She is either Ms Shetty or Mrs Kundra.

P&P: I realize that this is completely off topic for a fashion blog but I will take my chances. I will still love you guys even if this comment does not survive moderation :)

  5. the vest thing with the fugly belt ruins the whole look. As to the shoes, I think shilpa has big feet, these shoes make her feet look even bigger. I cannot understand women who ARE tall, but wear these high high heels which make their partner and everyone around them look SHORT. If I were her husband I would be pissed.
