  1. it only looks good on srk in the top golden globes pic, all other 3 pics are not so good.

but saying that, I dont really like the scarf, its looks a little worn out, didn’t like it on abhishek bachan in dostana much either.

I hate it on both, it looks very random and in the second pic, SRK looks very wannabeish

  4. Just as an experiment: It would be interesting to photoshop the Shah’s face on the looks that the other 2 men have…
That way we can separate out whether people love the look..or whether it is a case of whatever Shahrukh wears will be loved!

  5. Oh, the keffiyeh (arab scarf) trend has been on for about a year now. I think Abhishek wore it on one of the publicity posters for Dostana too.

  6. Alrighty, this trend is 2007 and 2008. Nobody wears the Keffiyeh anymore…come on Shah Rukh…..you’re better than following 1-2 year old trends.

  7. Ya nefretti….its been a trend with teens for over a year now …even before the celebrities in India started it. I am not a huge fan of it though.. Just something I’d like to see only college going kids in…

  8. Ehh, they all look the same. No one rocks it. And no one looks horrible.

I am glad for the trend for my own selfish reasons, which I explain below.

Michelle Malkin and her ilk made a fuss out of Rachel Ray’s scarf in the Dunkin Donut commercial, and kept repeating the idea again again about how it is a *terrorist* scarf. And it wasn’t even a keffiyah style on Rachel Ray.

One thing I am glad about. Is that despite the big hooplah over Rachel Ray and even before with Urban Outfitters having to pull it…

I am glad that this scarf is and has been the trend for a year or so now. I saw it all the time on campus. It’s to the point where I don’t even care if they know what a Keffiyah is or not. Just that it’s taken the steam out of all the people who want to associate the Keffiyah with *terrorism*

One thing I am sad about, as is with any ethnic clothing/jewelry, is that the mass producers get all the profit, not the original makers of the scarves in the West Bank and other places.

  9. I saw pictures of Shah Rukh wearing that scarf for the shooting of My name is Khan at UCLA. I didn’t like it then and I don’t like it here either.

  10. Well said from recent a post “you can imitate but never duplicate” So in this instance SRK can imitate but not dupilicate, but IMO It does not suit him nor Adhyayan Suman.

  11. I cant stand that Adyayan Suman..he is so full of himself..i wonder why?!? because his screen presence sucks and his fashion sense is tragic.
Shahrukh is making me laugh..he looks hideous in the bottom pic lol

  12. I read somewhere that these scarfs are worn to express solidarity and concern for those gettin killed in Palestine. Don’t know if its serious or jus a fad.
Anyway, srk looks great to my eyes no matter wat he wears( i’m tooo biased wen it comes to him). As for the others, they can imitate his clothes all they want, but wat fashion needs is the attitude and the x factor, which no one can imitate.
